Lincoln Park is a large, municipally-owned park in the New Jersey city of Camden. It is bounded by Market Street on the east, King Street on the west, and North Avenue on the south. The park has a total area of , including its recreational areas as well as its namesake lake. The first section of Lincoln Park was donated to Camden by John D. Rockefeller in 1911. The rest of the park was added to Camden through annexation by the city in 1923. In 1955, it merged with nearby Prospect Park to form one large park that covers . Lincoln Park features several ponds and lakes which are popular for swimming, fishing, and boating; as well as a number of playgrounds and fitness centers for children. There are also several baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, and basketball courts available for use by residents and visitors alike.

Lincoln Park is a large, well-preserved urban park located in the heart of New Jersey. The park was first established in 1868 as part of the city's green belt and has since been used for recreational, educational, and cultural purposes. The park has a variety of facilities such as a playground, basketball courts, tennis Courts, a children's play area, an amphitheater, and more. It is also home to several iconic landmarks including Mount Rushmore National Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. The history of Lincoln Park started with its creation as part of the city's green belt. At the time, it was one of only a few places in New Jersey that had trees remaining from when Newark was founded in 1776. In addition to being an important piece of Newark's history, Lincoln Park also played an important role in helping to create modern day New Jersey. After becoming part of Newark proper, it served as the site for many public meetings and hearings that helped to shape future policies within the state. One such hearing took place on December 12th 1868 during which Mayor John Seward proposed creating what would become Lincoln Park. This proposal passed unanimously thanks to support from some notable citizens like General George Washington Carver who saw potential in givingNewarkersa large outdoor space where they could enjoy nature without having to worry about traffic or noise issues. Although initial plans didn't include much else than a small playground and some basketball court/badminton court access points at street level (these were soon replaced by larger attractions), over time new ideas emerged for how Lincoln Park could be improved upon - some which eventually became reality while others were scrapped entirely due to financial limitations or lack of consensus among city officials/. Finally after years of planning and discussion - including work by then-Mayor John Lindsay - construction began on what would become one of New Jersey's most iconic tourist destinations today: Mount Rushmore National Monument! Although originally slated for completion in 1976 (!), construction finally finished in 2003 (!) thanks to continued fundraising efforts by local residents and businesses alike. Today not only does Mount Rushmore offer visitors an incredible view from all around town but also provides education on America's presidents through displays on different aspects of their lives (e.g., Abraham Lincoln's morality story). As one can see from this paper - nearly every aspect related to both Newark’s rich municipal history AND its current popularity has somethingto do with Lincoln Park!
