The coffee first tasted very different from what we enjoy now, but it quickly became popular in North America and eventually spread throughout the world.
Keansburg is a small town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,890 at the 2010 census. Keansburg is located on the border of Camden and Princeton municipalities. The first Europeans to set foot in what is now Keansburg were Dutch colonists who arrived in 1664. The area thatincludes Keansburg was part of the Township of Westville until 1795 when it became part of Rahway Township. In 1807, Englishman John Keane purchased the township from Rahway Township for $2,000. Keane built himself a house near what is now Main Street and named it "Kean'sborough". In 1809, he removed all trees and flowers from his property so that he could build a barn which still stands today across from the former high school (now known as Kean's Borough Middle School). The first school in what is now Keansburg was established in 1810 by Reverend John Huddy with 14 pupils. By 1830, there were six Plainfield schools within radius of Keansburghtownship: one each for Easton ( founded about 1800), Willow Grove (founded about 1805), German Reformed Church (founded early 1800s), Presbyterian Church (founded circa 1795), Academy School (founded 1830) and Methodist Episcopal church’s Female Orphan Asylum’s building erected for this purpose about 1840). In 1856, William Crouse opened a general store at Whatcom Ave & Market St in what is now called “The Village” off Route 9 South which soon became known as "Crouse’s Corner." In 1865-1866 Drury opened an opium dispensary on Northampton Ave just south of present day Main Street between Hickson Rd./Route 9 South and MarketSt., later renamed “Drury’s Drug Store” After Drury passed away his son John operated the store until 1886 when it closed due to prohibitionism referendum results being too close to home for retail customers without working out arrangements with local distilleries/wineries etc...John reopened after repeal but closed again by 1890 due to lack of business support during transition period following world war 1 which led to increase production costs associated with prohibition...Held open intermittently until sold December 7th 1916 finally closing May 21st 1917 according to BMD records On December 11, 1916 James Jakes opened The General Store on Depot Road across from Rte 9 South just north of present day Main Street starting operating under license #4241 from Samuel Davenport who had been licensed since November 15th 1913 originally known as Jakes & Brothers grocery store also operates adjacent corner Stillwater Rd opposite post office also has gas light at intersection still running

It is located on the border of Union and Morris counties. The first people to live in Keansburg were farmers who began arriving in the area around 1820. The first post office was established in 1827. By 1840, Keansburg had a population of 350 residents. In 1902, Keansburg became part of the larger borough of Plainfield and its governing body was changed from a township to a borough. In 1967, Keansburg became an independent municipality again with its own government and school district when Plainfield merged with neighboring Burlington Township to form the new Burlington Township Municipality. On July 1, 2018, Keansburg became one of two townships within Morris County (the other being West Morris Township) that were combined into one new county under Governor Phil Murphy's plan for cost-effective consolidation across all New Jersey municipalities experiencing growth or shrinkage due to development or annexation by neighboring municipalities. As part of this merger, both Keansburg and West Morris Townships lost their elected officials; however they retain their status as unincorporated communities inside the newly formed Morris County government.
