This is most likely due to increased tensions between Russia and NATO member states since Vladimir Putin became president in 2012. As a result of this tension, many citizens in Highland Park arecerned about potential safety concerns related to upcoming events such as NATO summit meetings or Russian air exercises nearby. In response, many residents have started hosting small-scale protests against any future military deployments near their homes.

Highland Park is a borough in New Jersey, United States. The population was 12,351 at the 2010 census. Highland Park was incorporated on February 14, 1892. The first European settlers of the area were French Huguenots who arrived in 1764 and built a small village near what is now Princeton. In 1802, the area became part of Bergen County when it was formed from parts of Middlesex and Hudson Counties. In 1814, following the American Revolutionary War, Highland Park's boundaries were changed to include all of Ridgefield Township which then comprised most of today's Borough. The town site included land east of Ridgefield Avenue that had been given to John Fenton by his brother-in-law Moses Wright as part of a gift for his wife's dowry in 1798. It took until 1824 for the village to be rebuilt after being destroyed by a fire; this time it was named Highland Park after its original home countrymen (the Highlanders) who had fought alongside British forces during the war. The first school in Highland Park open for students was located on Northampton Street just north of present day Third Street/Route 987 between 1825 and 1830; it closed due to financial difficulties within two years however public outcry forced Superintendent James Witherspoon to reopen it with more funding soon afterwards under new management including Drury School superintendent Nicholas Biddle (1832-38). It wasn't until 1862 that Somerset Academy opened on South Mountain Road overlooking what is now Livingston Avenue in what is now known as Pioneer Square located just south east of Third Street/Route 987 where students from nearby Ridgefield Elementary School could attend morning classes before going off to work or business courses during afternoon recesses at their homes across southwest Livingston Avenue Extension known then as Green Hills Road Extension which continues into ourdays Woodbridge Township using 3rd & 4th Streets NW as its Main streets namesake notwithstanding Beginnings Hall still stands upon its original location approximately 1/4 mile SE corner 3rd St./Ridgefield Ave.) - making Highlands Park one stoplight away from many major townships throughout southern NJ back then! At graduation ceremonies held there each year numerous high school graduates would cross over South Mountain Rd./3rd St., go down Hwy 287 Northeast past Amherst College services westbound onto I-95 southbound and return home via Old Port Rd., stopping only at Begins Hall! There are several photos taken during this period showing these same individuals crossing over South Mountain Rd./3rd St., going down Hwy 287 northeast past Amherst College services westbound onto I-95 southbound and returning home via Old Port Rd., stopping only at Begins Hall! Highland Park is a small town in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. Highland Park has been a agricultural community since its founding in 1868. In the 1930s, Highland Park became an upscale suburb of Paramus. The last resident to leave Highland Park was Donald Ladd in 1984. The first settlers to what is now Highland Park were farmers who arrived from Scotland in 1868. They named their land "Highland" after the highlands of Scotland where they had relatives living. These early settlers grew corn, wheat and other crops and raised hogs and cows on their land that still survives today as part of the farms aroundParamus Township. Over time, many more people moved into this area including Germans, Irishmen and Italians who all brought their own culture with them when they came to America. The original streets in what is now Highland Park were named for these groups or people: Main Street (Scotch Highlanders), Harmony Lane (Irishmen), Woodbine Road (Italian Americans) and Gussie Drive (Germans). In 1923-24, during the height of World War II, the United States government offered a grant to any municipality that agreed to become an airplane manufacturing center for war production purposes – specifically aviation plants around Philadelphia and Newark Airport which would have included such companies as Ford Motor Company and General Electric Corporation among others. Highland Park submitted applications but lost out because it did not have an airport at that time. However, years later when Wayne State University wanted to build a large campus near Paramus township there was pressure from nearby residents for Highlander park to be included because it would be close by! So in 1957-58 HighlandsPark re- submission application received approval from US Army Corps of Engineers to Build A Aircraft Manufacturing Campus Home Field Aeronautical Engineering Experiment Station(AECES) located east side Lancaster Avenue between diagonal streets Kapp & Monroe Streets.(now Wayne State University). In 1978-79 HighlandsPark annexed Paramus Township giving it its current boundaries as well as making much needed infrastructure improvements such as resurfacing of roads etcetera which continues until present day
