The United States Army has a long and proud history of deploying gift-giving to support military members and their families. Harrison, New Jersey is a town located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 17,726 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Raritan Metropolitan Statistical Area. Harrison was first settled by English colonists in 1684 and incorporated as a borough on December 12, 1837. On February 5th, 1921 Harrison became the townsite of Arlington Heights when Arlington Township was merged into Middlesex County. The name change comes from George Washington's home town of Alexandria (then Harrisonburg) in Fairfax County and because of its location adjacent to Princeton University it has been called "The Financial Capital of America". From 1932-1964 the town served as the capital of New Jersey; during this time it housed both the Governor's Mansion and State House. Harrison is known for its many fine shopping areas including Pine Street Shopping Center which anchors what used to be an almost continuous main street that runs through town center. There are also several large department stores such as JCPenney, Macy’s and Sears along with smaller shops and boutiques throughout the eclectic mix found in Harrison today dating back to pre-2000s shopping days when Main Street was almost exclusively lined with strip malls catering to those looking for high-end clothing or electronics items only. Today much of what once made up Main Street has been replaced by new development (in particular since 2000 there have been several high-rise buildings constructed near downtown which completely block off most access to older businesses). However one remaining landmark from earlier years is still very visible - The Presbyterian Church on Pine Street which still dominates downtown skyline even though it no longer services any residents or functions as a local cultural institution anymore due primarily to budget cuts over recent years although donations continue occasionally go out its door for special events like concerts or car shows etc.). In addition to all this commercialization there are also a number of small farms dotting the landscape now providing much needed homegrown food production while also retaining some more traditional aspects like blacksmithing/weaving etc.; these activities continue despite occasional protests from developers who would like see all farming abandoned entirely within city limits should their plans ever come through.

Harrison is a small town in the Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,802 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first human beings to live in Harrison were Native Americans who hunted and gathered natural resources here. After British colonists arrived in 1674, they began to settle in this area and by 1800, there were over 150 families living here. Harrison was incorporated as a town on December 3, 1871. In 1916, the US Navy conducted an artillery bombardment of German positions during World War I which destroyed many homes and killed many people in Harrison Township; it remains one of the most infamous acts of warfare in American history. During World War II, Harrison became an important strategic location for both American and British forces because it had several airfields within easy reach from where operations could be launched against Nazi Germany or Japan. The town also played an important role when construction began on the Bayonne Bridge connecting Newark Liberty International Airport with Trenton via Delaware Avenue (now Avenues 9th Street and 10th Street). With the bridge completed in 1945, traffic congestion around Harrison decreased significantly which helped spur economic development hereabouts. The decline of local manufacturing starting in the early 1990s led to a decline in employment throughout much of Mercer County but particularly at Harrison’s largest employer – General Motors – which closed its plant therein after only 26 years of production there. However, since 2000 some new businesses have sprung up around GM plants across Mercer County not just at Harrison but also Atascadero (westside), Boonton (northside), Bricktown (southside) & Middletown (eastside). These ventures generally focus on research and development rather than manufacturing so that job growth has been steady or even increasing since then despite overall economic conditions downturn elsewhere throughout New Jersey due largely to automation-driven industry consolidation worldwide!
Harrison was a small town in New Jersey that went through a lot of growth and change over the years. In 1835, it was established as an agricultural township by order of the New Jersey Legislature. It grew rapidly during the early 19th century, thanks to its location on the line between Pennsylvania and New York State and its importance as a transportation junction. By 1876, Harrison had become an incorporated village with a population of 307. The town was destroyed by fire in 1903, but many of its buildings still remain today.
