Zucker's son, Julius Zucker, took over operations of the store and post office after his father's death. In 1970, A&P Supermarket moved into its current location on Elmwood Avenue at First Street/Route 22nd Avenue and became one of the first supermarkets within commuting distance of Hackensack residents with a drive-thru window. The popularity of espresso drinks led to new cafes opening up all over New Jersey during the late 1990s and early 2000s; some located right near high schools while others were tucked away inside larger stores (e.g., Target). Starbucks began operations outside of NJ in 2002 as part of an expansion into Pennsylvania; however, it has since closed down most locations throughout North America due to low sales levels combined with fierce competition from Dunkin' Donuts (owned by Dunkin' Donuts Franchises Inc.) variants such as Slurpee Coffee & donuts restaurants that have become more widespread since Starbucks entered the marketplaces *. Hackensack is a town in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 23,868 at the 2010 census. It is the largest community in Bergen County by area and one of the most populous towns in New Jersey. Hackensack is within the South Ward of Newark. The first European settlers arrived in what is now Hackensack on October 14, 1664, from Saybrook Township, Connecticut with five families. On March 3rd 1835 Isaac Norris became the first Mayor of Hackensack Borough while also holding office as Town Clerk and Boardman for North Ward and Vice President of Borough Council for South Ward; he served until his death on December 12th 1865 due to a stroke. In 1841 Samuel Ziegler becamemayor after defeating incumbent John Whelan who had been mayor since 1838; Ziegler served until his death on November 15th 1901 due to pneumonia caused by yellow fever contracted during the American Civil War In 1902 an Act were passed providing for annexation of portions of Middlesex Township including Hackensacks Beach which added an additional 2,500 residents making it 8th largest municipality in New Jersey A new borough was founded on April 1st 1952 when parts of Camden Township were annexed into Bergen County following the merger of those municipalities into New Jersey On September 26th 1957 City Manager Harry Wexler resigned after being charged with bribery related charges resulting from his role as Mayorof Camden between 1951-1957; Wexler was cleared but took leave from work pending trial Hackensacks incorporation status remains unresolved

The name Hackensack comes from a Native American word meaning "settlement on the bank of an open stream." The first settler in what is now Hackensack was George Washington and his family who arrived there in 1764. In 1814, General James Wilkinson's forces burned down Fort Lee during the War of 1812 and this destroyed much of the ancient Indian village near where Hackensacks located today. However, many years later when developers started building around this site they named their project "Hackensack" after General Wilkinson's original location as well as neighboring Perth Amboy which had been renamed Garden City after British troops burned down some land here in 1824. In 1870, John D'Angelo bought 3/8 mile (1 km) ofakuacook Lake from Abram J. Stevens for $5 per acre (0.98 hectares). This gave him control over what is now Hackensack Creek and its tributaries includingHackensack River which flows through town center. For many years he continued to produceこんしょうじん ('hock-seen'), or wild rice, which was used as a form of currency throughout much of Japan because it could not be counterfeited or smelted like other metals such as silver or gold. People also gathered fresh firewood on long walks through downtown during wintertime because there were no proper roads then and people traveled by foot or horseback across snow covered fields to get to their homes without getting lost or frozen solid! He also developed a small industry -- selling ice cream from wagon TCB No 1 outside his store -- until 1906 when he moved his business into larger facilities on Market Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue where he operated until his death in 1943 at age 86 years old!
