Freehold is a town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 10,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Paterson-Newark-Ewing, NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area. By 1851, most of the remaining tobacco had been shipped back home to Holland through Freedom Hall on Staten Island where it was unloaded and smoked by American troops during the American Revolution; this event is commemorated annually with a public smoking session inside Freedom Hall beginning at 2 pm on October 9th. With prohibition coming into effect throughout much of America via state legislatures starting with Delaware’s referendum in 1920 (a year after New Jersey), much of what remained of freehold’s manufacturing base ceased early – including air-conditioning units for businesses – although some small businesses still continue today that use traditional methods like hand looms or water heating systems powered by solar panels or wind turbines. In 1924 Freehold Township merged with neighboring Monmouth County; however, when freeholder elections were held two years later there was no clear majority party represented within either township body so both bodies continued to operate separately until 1933 when they were combined into one single entity known as “Freehold Township” effective January 1st following an agreement between all three organizations reached prior to that date among themselves without any input from residents or other interested parties interested in seeingFREEHOLD TOWNSHIP MEMBERSHIPS Consolidated Into One Entity!
