Freehold is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,562 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark-Jersey City metropolitan area. The first European settlers in what is now Freehold were Quakers who arrived in 1664 and built their own small community on the north bank of Raritan River. The boundary between Freehold and Elizabethtown (later Elizabeth) Township was defined by a survey taken in 1702. freehold means "free from rent" and "holding [a] piece of ground free from rent." In 1814, when Middlesex County was created, Freehold became one of its townships. In 1834, the township committee appointed two trustees to manage public school district No. 2 which included Freehold as well as Elizabethtown and Bound Brook Township. In 1835, Freehold Borough was formed from portions of Bound Brook Township and Elizabethtown Township with 1,500 residents; it also had authority over all public utilities within its boundaries including water supply and street cleaning but no police or fire services within its limits In 1840-41 there was an outbreak of cholera which caused many deaths in the township. Reverend John Warrington preached frequently during this time to try to prevent disease spreading among people living close to riverbanks where water could easily contaminate food supplies After several years of flopping attempts at getting money for building a school or other infrastructure improvements in Freehold Borough (the only municipality then existing), on December 15, 1847 local officials laid out plans for what would become modern day Liberty University campus after receiving approval from higher up: George Washington Morris who functioned as Trustee for Burlington County As part of that process FREEHOLD BOROUGH became known as "Liberty" borough until 1947 when it reverted back to "Freeheld". Some argue that this change happened because Morris felt that freeholders were more likely to support his vision for Liberty than those living outside the boundaries set forth by government entities

This allowed Indian farmers to sell their crops directly to European consumers instead of being bought by local merchants who sold them back into production cycle again with lower quality beans! In 1949, Indian Overseas Tea Company merged with two other tea companies (British Indian Tea Company Limited and Assam Tea Corporation) forming what is now Hindustan Times Limited (HTL). HTL became one of the world’s leading media conglomerates with interests spanning over 350 years including print media; television networks; internet properties; publishing businesses; industrial manufacturers; food processing businesses; real estate holdings; hotel development opportunities etc

Freehold is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 11,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Middlesex County and the second-largest town in New Jersey after Newark. The Town of Freehold was founded on November 1, 1764 by English colonists as a result of the British Conquest of North America. On October 10, 1776, during the American Revolution, Freehold residents aided patriots who fought against British forces at Saratoga Creek. The town hall burned down in 1814 but was rebuilt and renamed Freehold Hall two years later. In 1874, a post office called Freehold was established with headquarters at present-day Park Place in what is now known as downtown Freehold. In 1898, the name "Freehold" was changed to "New Brunswick". In 1910 Township Council adopted an ordinance to change freeholders from male proprietors to female proprietorships effective January 1 that year; this ordinance remains in effect today. On February 5th 1916 referendum voters approved general propositions C and D which created township government for all Unincorporated areas within Middlesex County becoming known as Municipal Boroughs (later on Municipal Districts).
