That same year also saw the arrival of regiment I which was activated on July 1st with two battalions: 2nd Battalion (ARMY), also known as company K; 3rd Battalion (ARMY), also known as company L; 4th Battalion (ARMY) also known as company M; 5th Battalion (ARMY) also known as company N; 6th Battalion(ARMY) also known as company P; 7th Battalion(ARMY)also known ascompany Q. In 1970 an infantry brigade detached from ABCT went to Kuwait while another infantry brigade detachment departed for Vietnam on October 15th 1971 under command of Major General John Jumper III who returned toFortLeeson on December 11st 1971 having accomplished all his combat duty there previously without ever getting wounded or killed in action during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield/Stormy Daniels Expeditionary Force service! On January 10th 1972 Major General James Wohlquist relieved Major General John Jumper III effective February 8th because he had been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel! Now we have a very unique gift history situation with two very different lieutenant colonel commands running one large base...both with a lot of experience but both missing some key players needed for such an historical operation! This paper will explore this situation more closely by focusing on one particular lieutenant colonel commander - Brigadier General Edwin "Buzz" DeForest who took command of A Company in 1986 after Colonel Edwin "Buzz" DeForest had retired from active duty due to health reasons! brigadier general Buzz DeForest would later become Commanding Officer - First Brigade Combat Team 1st Infantry Division - ABCT when ABCT relocated from FtLeeson NJ to Ramstein AFB Germany!!! In 1664, Dutch settlers arrived in what is now Monmouth County and began to build homes around Old Fort Lee or West Point on the site of the later Fort Lee Park. In 1672, English colonists began moving into Monmouth County and soon after they started buildingforts at West Point and Old Fort Lee. By 1776, most of what is now Middlesex County had been claimed by England as part of the Province of New Jersey. In 1776, when Philadelphia was founded as an independent city with its own government, General Howe decided not to wait for Philadelphia's approval before launching his campaign against America's southern neighbor. On October 11th he ordered Major-General John Sullivan to move his army from Yorktown southeast along the Delaware River towards Camden while Major-General Hector Stirling moved his forces northwest alongriver towardsPhiladelphia itself (see Battle of Princeton). On October 12th Sullivan sent word that he could no longer continue forward because of heavy cavalry losses sustained during clashes with British troops just upstream at Trenton Landing where Brigadier General Nathanael Greene's force had been bottled up since morning hours thanks to superior British artillery fire; Peter Ackermann writes that this action likely saved Philadelphia from total destruction but ended up distinguishing American military strategy for future operations against Great Britain . On November 3rd Howe decided that enough time had not passed for him to await Philadelphia's response so he ordered Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Schenck to march his entire brigade across the Delaware Riverbridge at Trenton Junction under cover of darkness onto Pennsylvania Avenue where they halted only minutes before dawn on November 4th so that traffic could be stopped completely within earshot of Parliament Buildings which were then lit up like Christmas trees; this event is generally considered one reason why Howe lost control over events leading up to Yorktown and resultant battle four days later
