Florham Park is a town in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,738 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New York City metropolitan area. The town seat and largest community within Florham Park are located in the borough of Westwood. Other communities include Floral Park, Glen Oaks, Hillsboro Village, and Mount Laurel. The first Europeans to visit what is now Florham Park were Giovanni da Verrazzano and his crew on their mapping expedition from 1524 to 1526; they named it "New Amsterdam" after the Dutch city of Amstelveen which they had just crossed over from Holland. In 1664, during the English Civil War, Philip II of Spain granted John Winthrop (an American Puritan) an exemption from military service because he was a Quaker. Winthrop then founded what became known as "therynghtown" (later Hillsborough Township), including present-day Florham Park as well as parts of Glen Oaks and Mount Laurel Township back then unincorporated areas outside Bergen County proper. In 1714 or 1715antine surveyor George Washington surveyed land that would become Florham Park using a system still in use today: He drew up surveys primarily along Fifth Avenue and Broadway between 23rd Street and 25th Street south of Interstate 95; these boundaries are still used today by GSA Corporate Real Estate Services as part of its marketing collateral for large properties across North America." In 1802 local farmer Elijah White built what is now called White's Tavern on current day Second Avenue in southwest corner of present-day Florham Park Borough Hall lot; it served as both his home base while he farmed and also acted as a post office until 1892 when it burned down due to an accidental fire days before Christmas undergarment store owner Geoge Fenton opened his own post office next door with mail brought into town by horse & wagon! Held annually beginning in 1823 by President James Kapp (Ulysses S Grant’s Secretary at War), this event was renamed “Kapp's Carnival”after him & winner Robert E. Lee who won $1 each for best masquerade ball

This mixture would then be placed in an old pot or kettles and heated until it started to boil. Once boiling, the water would be poured off and the black liquid left behind was used to make coffee. The earliest known coffee gift was given in 1798 by Captain James Cook while he was on his voyage to find new lands in Australia. Cook gave two cups of fresh Arabian Coffee beans to the crew of his ship HMS Endeavour along with some supplies for brewing future voyages. This gesture is still considered one of the greatest moments in Australian history because it demonstrated British support for Australia during its time as a colony. In 1802, John Thornton purchased a small farm near Waco, Texas and began growing coffee beans himself. He named his farm Coffee Valley because he believed that this area had the most perfect location for growing coffee trees due to its proximity to water sources, sunlight, and wind turbines that provided power for his farms! Thornton also built a small factory in which he manufactured quality cupboards-quality wood products from His own trees that grew onhis farm! These days, Thornton's home still stands – years after being founded- Visitors can tour his home and meet some of his original employees who continue making delicious cupcakes today!

Florham Park is a borough in New Jersey, United States. It was formed on April 10, 1874, from the merger of two adjacent townships: Florham and Park. The population was 19,771 at the 2010 census. The borough is located in Bergen County. The first European to visit what is now Florham Park was Giovanni da Verrazzano on October 14, 1524. He named it "Veroam" after his hometown of Verona, Italy. In 1764, Samuel Kittredge built a house on North Avenue in Florham Park for himself and his family. His son John Kittredge became a partner in the firm of Kittredge & Company which traded goods along the Passaic River between Newark and Jersey City. In 1802, Samuel Kittredge's grandson John inherited the business; he continued it until his death in 1868. A group of Dutch Settlers arrived in 1682 and founded Paramus Township east of where present-day Florham Park sits (now part of Monmouth County). Abram de Vries purchased some land near where modern day Middleton Road meets Route 907 (the Hackensack River) from de Vries' brother Jacob van den Eynde on December 5th, 1686 for $1 per acre lot. On July 20th 1775 Ephraim Putnam acquired 1/2 mile square by title from Nicholas Putnam lying within the limits now encompassed by present-day Florham Park for £10 per yearly payment plus interest compounded quarterly with an annual profit sharing clause inserted into the purchase agreement as follows: "And finally that all such improvements may be made without any particular cost or trouble to us or our heirs forever." The putnam family resided at their farmstead known as Putnams Corner until its demolition ceded by proxy due to lack of successors able to take possession upon partitioning of their ancestor's estate among themselves according to law during Congressional Reconstruction following America's Civil War which ended slavery throughout most of America including New Jersey - thus putting an end to centuries-long occupancy by one specific family name only albeit with scattered descendants still living today throughout both counties! On October 12th 1830 Henry Griggs erected a frame structure called Parsonage northeast corner High Street and Elm Avenue on land then belonging to Nicholas Putnam who had conveyed same unto him Septembered previous year via deed dated November 6th 1700… This building still stands today just north side High Street between Elm avenue & Washington avenue (now home of Weequahic School). In 1792 Elijah Morse constructed a two story blacksmith shop also known as Drinker's Shop behind current site Of Borough Hall – this building has since been demolished however parts remaining are still visible e .g foundation walls etc.. According to History Channel program “Neighborhoods” aired May 2nd 2009 Ordinary citizens were allowed inside government buildings for inspection during reconstruction days following attacks on UPNJ facilities occurring across town prior September 11th 2001…. After several attempts by community members [Everett Crouse] using letter& package delivery service[UPS]to bring attention resulting no response [from Mayor Christopher Sgro], finally person(s) responsible came forward & delivered notice thru email… On Saturday morning August 30th2009 local residents gathered around Building #1 exterior door steps awaiting notification they were being allowed inside when not one iota occurred…. Eventually determined no action would be taken because owner refused written request for entry
Florham Park was founded in 1795 by Captain John Florham and his wife Rebecca. The town was named after Colonel James Florham, the brother of Captain John Florham. In 1847, the Township of FlorHAM PARK was created from parts of Middlesex County. The township boundaries changed again in 1898 when it merged with Monmouth County to form Jersey City. In 1974, the township became a borough and on July 1, 2006, it annexed the unincorporated community of Englewood Cliffs.
