The Florham Park coffee industry was founded in 1868 by James Fenton and his brother, John. The first place to sell coffee in Florham Park was the home of D&J Coffee. In 1898, Fenton's son-in-law, George Jenkins, opened the first grocery store in Florham Park. In 1916, Harry Kapp introduced Fair Trade coffee into Florham Park. In 1938, Donahue's Java House began serving quality breakfast and lunch items from its café on Main Street. In 1984, David Rosenthal opened Bloomfield Coffee & Tea at 5 West Bloomfield Avenue inFlorham Park. The shop served high-quality Ethiopian and Guatemalan coffee until it closed in 2010.
Florham Park is a borough in New Jersey, located on the South Side of the state. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 33,671. Florham Park was incorporated as a borough on April 14, 1904. The name is derived from Flora and Maphia (Fords), two villages near Paramus that were part of West Morris Township and then Middlesex County. The first settler in what is now Florham Park was Nicholas Flinn. He lived on land he purchased from the Paterson Alumni Association for $2 per acre in 1838. In 1844, developer Moses Jacobs developed a large section of central Florham Park for $7 per acre which included land between Second and Third Streets and State College Road. By 1860, all of this had been developed into what is today known as Florham Park. In 1912, five years after incorporation, Mayor John Prentice proclaimed "A Day to Remember" and declared July Fourth to be a holiday in honor of America's independence from Great Britain; this event helped spur development around Independence Hall Square which still remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in town today. On July 4th each year since then, parade participants walk through downtown with floats depicting American icons such as presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson along with local businesses who donate their proceeds back to charity

Florham Park, New Jersey is a town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 24,291 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hunterdon County. The first European settlers in what is now Florham Park were Dutch immigrants who arrived in 1664. They founded a small village on the Hackensack River near modern-day Cherry Hill and named it "Hague". The area became part of New Netherland after the English victory over the Dutch at Saratoga in 1777. In 1814, Florham Park was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature; it had previously been part of Essex County. In 1837, Florham Park annexed parts of Hightstown to form a new borough with a population of 25,000; this annexation met resistance from some residents because they felt that Hightstown proper should have retained its own government and borders. In 1840, another act transferred all township elections to Borough Hall; however, this change did not take effect until 1861 due to legal challenges filed by former Township Council members John Sauer and Jeremiah Wertheimer. In 1868, following the admission ofNew York City as a separate city under state law, Florham Park began to suffer competition from nearby Rahway for business and tax base within their respective municipalities limits. A group of businessmen bought out most of the original members of council and established themselves as an independent authority known as the "Rahway clique". This situation continued until 1878 when Borough President Samuel Gompers issued regulations which replaced Rahway's elected officials with appointed commissioners. Under Gompers' leadership (1878-1892), FlorhamPark regained its vigor as an economic center while experiencing modest growth rates throughout much of its history despite occasional surges in population above 24k residents during periods between spikes in immigration or industry growth - something which has never happened again without significant outside investment or political intervention).
