The donation was made in memory of Colonel Douglas MacKenzie, who died serving his country. The Air Force believes that by giving back to those in need, it can help change their lives for the better. Florham Park is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 34,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New York City metropolitan area. The name "Florham Park" is derived from nearby Florham Hall, which served as a summer home of George Washington and his first wife Martha Washington. The village was founded by Nicholas Florio in 1764 as part of then-new Monmouth Township and incorporated on April 12, 1786. In 1834, Florham Park became part of Bergen County when it was merged with other parts of Middlesex County to form the new county. In 1853, the first post office opened in Florham Park with nine mailbags per week. By 1860, there were seventy-six mailbags and one letter delivery service per week available in Florham Park; this increased to ninety-two by 1870. By 1880, there were two post offices and six letter delivery services located withinFlorHAM PARK limits - this increase continued through1890 when all six services were combined into one office at Fifth Avenue and Broadway Streets in downtownFlorHAM PARK). At its peak during the early 20th century, FlorHAM PARK had over 1 dozen businesses providing essential government services such as tax assessment for public works projects or delivering newspapers (the first municipally delivered paper across America), day care for mothers during Balloon Fiesta weekend or providing ice cream socials for community members on warm summer evenings In 1930, steps were taken to annex adjacent townships including Plainfield (to the east) and South Maybury (to the west). This caused much upset among residents who felt their homes would be taken away while others enjoyed more recent growth within their communities without any loss of territory or rights they had already acquired through annexation proceedings. In 1933 a referendum passed that annexed Plainfield along with South Maybury giving FlorHAM PARK an total population of 382 citizens (of whom 231 resided in Plainfield and 119 in South Maybury). After years of struggles between Mayor Abramoff & Borough Council over property rights issues surrounding annexation proceedings culminating with Borough Manager Wise v Mayor Abramoff decision refusing to issue a deed transferring ownership back to Borough Council following recommendation from Planning Board Chairman Emanuel Goldstein – finally resolutions condemning both actions were passed by both bodies on November 3rd 1974 - putting an end to yearslong grifters’ Row between Mayor Abramoff & Borough Council over annexation matters Today's large suburban enclaves just beyond city limits are still largely unincorporated but have made significant contributions to local economies dating back centuries - many contributing employees currently work for companies based outsideCity Limits . Many residents continue proud traditions such as carnival rides open late every nightfall or playing music outdoors until 2am on hot summer nights

On January 15, 1950, the United States Air Force deployed a gift history program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the World War II Victory in Europe Medal. The service gave away items such as postcards and medals to individuals who donated them.
Florham Park is a borough in New Jersey, United States. The population was 20,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden County metropolitan area. The first European settlers in what would become Florham Park arrived in 1764 from England. The town was named for Colonel John Florian, who had purchased land north of Philadelphia from the Lenape people. The first settler in what would become Florham Park was Nicholas Lewis, who lived on North Third Street and Front Street. Lewis built a small cabin near where West Elm Street now stands and operated it as a farmstead until he sold it to Captain Thomas Whipple in 1768. Whipple's son, Benjamin Whipple, rebuilt the cabin and renamed it "Floriam Park". In 1805, John Fenton bought shares of stock in the town from Captain Whipple and began developing it as an agricultural community with home- grown crops and hogs being among its primary products. By 1840, there were over 100 residents living in Florham Park; many of them had purchased land surrounding the original village site that they developed into today's retail areas such as Main Street (now called Morris Avenue), Second Avenue (now known as Pinehurst Avenue), Fourth Avenue (now known as Laurel Highway), South Boulevard (now known as Willow Grove Avenue) and Upton Road (now known as Maple Shade Drive). In 1849, when New Jersey became a state, Florham Park became one of its initial municipalities. In 1960, when Camden County was created within New Jerseyan government structure following Federation of American States independence from Great Britain, Florham Park annexed parts of neighbouring rural Camden Township which formed what is now White Marsh Township within Camden County limits
Florham Park is a town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 12,828 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Trenton–Newark metropolitan area. The first permanent European settler in Florham Park was John Avery who arrived in 1684 and built a small cabin on the current site of Florham Park High School. Avery's son Samuel founded Avery's Ferry which connected Florham Park with Perth Amboy and East Brunswick Township. In 1735, Samuel's grandson Nicholas bought land from the Taconic tribe and erected a mill on what is now Main Street in Florham Park. In 1814, Rev. George Washington invested $5,000 to purchase 640 acres (240 ha) of land around what is now West Side Drive in Floram Park for colonization by white Americans as part of his Sherman Plan for dividing America into black and white regions. The settlers were called "Natives" because they were not given formal titles such as "Congressman." Under American rule, Native Americans were forced to work as slaves on plantations during the Revolutionary War and after independence they lost their rights to property and education but retained their Indian status quo until 1863 when Alfred Iselin signed an executive order giving them full citizenship rights under the new US Constitution. In 1871, following Reconstruction, Congress passed an act granting township form within Morris County; this Act created two townships within Morris County: one comprising all of Florham Park including parts of East Brunswick Township which had become independent since 1865; while the other included all or most of West Side Drive betweenbound Route 9A (now Interstate 95) and Boundary Road (now Route 21). This change also created some tension between residents who lived east of Interstate 95 – who had always considered themselves part ofFlorHAM PARK – while those west of I-95 considered themselves part OfWestSideDrive; however, these tensions largely dissipated over time as people gradually adopted similar local names reflecting their community identity rather than race or ethnicity
