There are many coffee shops and cafes in Eatontown, New Jersey. The history of these businesses can be traced back to the early 1800s when the town was founded by Dutch settlers. By 1824, Eatontown had a population of around 100 people. Over time, other cultures have also influenced the way that Eatontown produces its coffee. Italian immigrants started up a bakery in 1884 and soon began to sell Italian-made pastries and coffee from their shop on Main Street. In 1907, an Italian restaurant called Caffè Roma opened in downtown Eatontown and soon became one of the most popular places in town. During World War II, many civilians in the town were drafted into the military and some of these men started their own businesses as contractors or soldiers. In 1951, two brothers named Harry and Jack Rosenberg opened What’s New Coffee & Tea on Elmwood Avenue in downtown Eatontown. This business was quickly successful and helped to revitalize the town’s economy during this period of growth forEatontown. In 1984, Mario Batali opened his first restaurant called Alinea in downtown EatontOWN and quickly became a local favorite among locals and visitors alike due to his innovative food concepts including pizza, pasta dishes, international cuisine, etc. Today, Alinea still features top-quality Italian food which has been central to its success over decades. Eatontown is a small town in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the East Orange–Middlesex County Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name comes from an 18th century Dutch place-name called "Etten." The first Europeans to explore and settle in present day Eatontown were Dutch colonists who arrived in 1624. In 1764, Englishmen led by Colonel John Stevens built a fort on the site that became known as Fort Lee. From here they began attacks against the Dutch colony of New Netherland which had been established only five miles away. In 1785, after months of skirmishes and negotiations, the British took control of New Netherland and renamed it Canada West. The people of Eatontown decided to stay and defend their homes against what they saw as British aggression. They soon developed a strong trade with Canada and other parts of North America due to their location close to new markets for goods brought over by sailing ships. Today’s economy is based largely on tourism with some manufacturing taking place within walking distance of many businesses including restaurants, banks and insurance companies. There have always been people living in or near Eatontown – although most residents came together during World War II when much of the town was destroyed in air raids that resulted in about 150 deaths (the majority from fires). Even today there are plenty of volunteers who help maintain the community’s infrastructure such as trash collection and streetlights; these days there also exists a volunteer fire department made up entirelyof civiliansboroing all mannerof emergencies from car accidents to school lockouts!

The first coffee beans were grown in the region now known as Yemen. The name of the first coffee plantation is still unknown, but it was likely located near the city of Shibam. It is believed that this plantation was started by a group of Ethiopian Jews who were looking for new land to Their property. They imported two types of coffee beans from Africa and began to grow them on their own farm.
Eaton Township, NJ was formed in 1812 from part of Burlington County. The township is named after General James Wilkinson, an American Revolutionary War hero and British general who fought at the Battle of Saratoga. The original white settlers in Eaton were farmers and their families. For a time, Eaton had a Post Office called Englishtown because many Englishmen lived there. In 1877, Eaton became one of the townships in Rahway Township when that township was created from parts of Burlington and Essex counties. In 1898, Eaton became part of the new municipality of East Paterson through merger with some other townships within Rahway Township. In 1954, East Paterson was dissolved and its citizens merged into Rahway Township again. From 1972 to 2018, Eatontown had its own Borough Council which consisted of Mayor John Giannini (D), Vice Mayor Salvatore Rossi (D), Josephine Russo-Famiglietti (D), Edward "Ted" Schwartz (I) and Barbara McCann (R). The Eatontown Historic District contains over 350 buildings dating back to 1798 when the first Europeans arrived in what is now Eaton Township. Many are still standing including a mill built by George Washington Reynolds in 1798 which still stands today as a museum; two churches – St Alphonsus’ Anglican Church Built in 1800 and First Congregationalist church built in 1805 – both remain standing; as well as government buildings such as the courthouse used between 1829-1830 by New Jersey Governor Nicholas Hackett; town hall from 1895-1899; post office from 1897-1900; school building built between 1907-1909; fire station constructed 1916 - 1918 on land donated by George Armstrong Clark for use as a recreation area for firefighters; numerous residences dating back to before 1900 also survive including: Auction Hall Building erected c 1830s on lot now home to Orchard Park Mall ; “Pioneer House” designed by architect Ebenezer Mifflin located on corner of Main Street & Second Avenue ; wood frame dwelling on corner now home to engine house/shop garage ; three contributing stores: Haddon Mills Store opened c 1840s at 2nd Avenue & Northumberland road ; Welland store opened c 1860s at 3rd Avenue & Clinton Road ; Indian Land store opened 1865 at intersection of Third Avenue & Clinton Road .
