In the early 1800s, Eatontown was a small farming community located in upstate New York. By 1821, the town had grown to its current size and became an important stop on the Erie Canal. The coffee trade began to grow in Eatontown during this time and quickly became one of the leading businesses in town. The first coffee roasters were established in Eatontown by John Bollinger and James McGillivray. These two men started roasted their own coffee from beans that they gathered from their farmstead. Bollinger & McGillivray soon evolved into one of the most famous coffee companies in America. Their roast quality was highly respected and helped popularize coffee as a beverage throughout much of North America. During this time, there were many different roasting techniques used for Coffee including French Press, Cappuccino Press, First Pressing methods and even K-Cups! Coffee continues to be one of the most popular drinks enjoyed by people all over the world today thanks to its rich flavor and lengthy history!

Eatontown is a small town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden-Ewing metropolitan area. Eatontown was founded by Germans in 1795 as "Auerstadt". The name originated from the German word for "estate" or "farmstead". The first settlement in Eatontown was made on a peninsula that forms the eastern edge of present-day Eatontown. In 1802, John and Anna Mahoney purchased land east of Route 9 and established a farm called Mahoney's Landing. In 1812, Peter Sellon purchased land west of Route 9 and formed an estate called Sellon's Ferry with his brother Jacob Sellon. By 1814, nine families had located in what is now Eatontown Township: eight German immigrants and one Presbyterian family from Scotland. In 1824, Drusilla (Doris) Hildebrandt organized a women's Temperance society which met at her home until 1830 when it moved to First Presbyterian Church which still stands today as the town’s civic center/hallowed ground (the Ladies Aid Society building is also on this site). Reverend James Ziegler officiated at her baptism there on October 21st, 1824. Mrs. Hildebrandt continued to lead meetings until her death in 1865; these were then chaired by Miss Fannie Wehner who presided from 1886 until 1897 when Misses Flora Senter took over leadership after Mrs. Wehner’s death; finally Missess Lillie Kapp took over from 1922 until her retirement in 1984 John Mahoney died November 10th, 1861 leaving three children - Anna Maria (1863-1926), John Jr.(1865-1944) and Doris Ethel (1867-1945). On December 15th 1863 Anna Maria married GeorgeCrichton who resided near Princeton Junction NJ where they raised their two daughters before returning to live with their parents after he became an officer with the U.S Marine Corps during World War II AnnaMaria had been working as a domestic servant for Edward Herrmann when she met George Crichton while he served as personal maid to Governor John Pemberton at Rahway Manor; they married there on December 15th 1863 GeorgeCrichton retired from service with the Marines early in 1945 so his wife could join him later that year but soon afterwards she passed away due to complications from battle wounds received during World War II . Doris married Samuel Jaffe about 1950 but he died before they had any children together . They are buried next to each other along with their father John Mahoney at First Presbyterian Cemetery
