There has been coffee lover gift history in East Orange, New Jersey for as long as there have been coffee beans. The first coffee bean thieves were the Dutch who came to New Netherland in 1624 and stole Indian roasted coffee beans that were being traded between the Dutch and English. Coffee was so important to the Dutch that they named their new colony after a type of tree related to the Java bean- Indonesia. Over time, other groups arrived in New Netherland and started stealing coffee beans from the native people too. By 1710, coffee had spread throughout much of North America and Europe. The first European to purchase a cup of Joe was John D’Angelo of Venice, Italy in 1746. He enjoyed his first cup of espresso at his inn on Long Island where he met many American traders and businessmen. After purchasing some land near Boston, D’Angelo started making coffee on his own plantation in 1751. In 1837, Nicholas Conte opened one of the earliest convenience stores with shelves full of Italian brewed espresso known as "Il Caffè Niccolo" (The Nicholas Conte Coffee Store). This store quickly became popular among Americans because it offered high quality espresso without having to go through expensive channels like Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. Consequently,East Orange became one of the early centers for espresso manufacturing in America! Coffee began appearing on menus at restaurants starting around 1910s when waitstaff began adding pods fresh from java plantations near Jakarta or Bali into their drinks order for customers dining inside these establishments during lunchtime or dinner times. Restaurants soon realized that customers would appreciate a delicious potofcoffee while eating out which led to an increase demand for this unique product! Notably, Harry multiplex theaters across North America finally served up real world ground floor cups of joe every day from 1966 until 1984! As more people moved away from rural communities towards larger metropolitan areas such as New York City and Los Angeles over ensuing decades various types of cafes emerged- neighborhood cafes serving local favorites such as pastries and sandwiches made fresh daily; greasy spoon cafes featuring large portions along with copper pots simmering over small fires called "grinders"; fast food chains such as McDonald's selling pre-packaged items like fries topped with your choice of chili or jalapeno; cable TV providers specializing in providing live feeds (selective) including those fed by Starbucks' company owned roast plants located within miles proximity; chain restaurant franchises catering primarily towards college students living off campus; etc.......the list goes on! East Orange, New Jersey is a city in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The population was 25,790 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous municipality in Middlesex County after Newark and is also one of the five municipalities that make up the Combined Statistical Area (CSA) of New Jersey. As of July 1, 2018, East Orange had a total population of 64,557 residents within its borders The first European settlement in what is now East Orange was made by Dutch colonists on April 10th 1664 when they landed at present-day Cape May Bayou. The town was founded by Colonel George Hackman as "Hackman's Land," and named for him. original land grant from Governor Nicolls to Captain John Hackman on December 12th 1703. The first post office opened in 1814 under the name "Hackman's Ferry." In 1828, Englishmen Isaac Morin and Nathaniel Chapman bought 640 acres (2 km²) of land east of where East Orange now stands from François Bouchard for $4 per acre ($640/km²). They named their new township Morin Township after both men. In 1851 it became part of Essex County; however, because Morin Township included parts of Princeton and Rahway Counties it remained separate until 1923 when it became part of Middlesex County as well. On November 6th 1873 during a special election held to fill an open seat on the Camden Court House Board due to vacancy caused by death or resignation, Democrat James Fenton won against Republican incumbent Moses Hahn with 54% of the vote over Hahn's 42%. On October 9th 1896 Mapleton Avenue which runs through downtown east side Morrisania were deeded to East Orange along with all other lots within Morin Township including sections located southside between Route 202 & 213 Streets & northside between 202nd Street & 209th Street Streets from Joshua Sibley’s lot south side just before junction with 201st Street thence eastwardly along 201st Street to intersection with Morrisania Road then northeasterly along Morrisania Road westerly along 601stStreet thence easterly along Morrisania Road to intersection with Rutgers Avenue; this deed being known asMapleton Avenues Deed #1 . mapletonavenue@comcast.net . This deed marked the beginning of what would become Mapleton Avenue running through downtown east side Morrisania while Rutgers Avenue ran northerly continuing past Bound Brook into eastern Newark amassing its current length near Maplewood Cemetery until reaching University Park South shortly before its merger into Bloomfield Hills.. mapletonsave@comcast.net

In 1764, the area that is now East Orange was part of Middlesex County. In 1802, the township of East Orange was formed from portions of Burlington Township and Monmouth Township. In 1838, a new township, West Orange, was established in addition to East and West Orange Township. On May 14, 1937, Ocean County was created from parts of Essex and Middlesex Counties. The population of East Orange increased rapidly after World War II as factory jobs opened up in New Jersey and nearby states. However, economic decline starting in the late 1990s led to a decrease in population and property values throughout the township. Today, most residents live in West orange or Southside Park areas within their municipalities. East Orange begins at an intersection with Route 322 near the Jersey Shore Expressway on the border of Port Newark Liberty International Airport and Toms River Junction. The route heads eastward for about 2 miles before turning south onto a road called White Horse Road which leads intowood Forest Preserve located east of Asbury Park Borough limits where it intersects with Ridgefield Avenue/Route 614 (now CR-614). After crossing under Route 822 (now CR-822)Eastbound traffic then turns northeast onto Ridgefield Avenue while westbound traffic continues on White Horse Road to cross over Sussex County lines into Union Beach Borough Limits where they continue their journey north into Seaside Heights Borough Limits before terminating at an interchange with I-95/US-9 exit 9A (now I-295Exit 9A).
East Orange, New Jersey was founded in 1788 by English colonists as a small community on the east bank of Raritan River. The town grew rapidly after the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825 and soon became a major transportation center for goods and passengers across the river. In 1916, East Orange became an independent city and remained so until 1967, when it merged with Paramus to form Paramus-East Orange-NewJersey.
