Dumont, New Jersey is a small town located in Morris County. The population was 5,567 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Newark-based Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first coffee house in Dumont was established by Isaac Asimov and his wife Sarah in 1827. It was known as the "Asimov Cafe." Over time, many other businesses have been established in Dumont including a restaurant, bakery, gift shop, and post office. Coffee has been an important part of life in Dumont for over 100 years. Originally brought to the area by German immigrants who grew rich using coffee beans they exported to Europe, coffee became popularized within American society after its introduction into America by John Jacob Astor. In 1833, George Washington Carver started two grocery stores on Broad Street and soon realized that there was a lack of variety or quality coffee available in central NJ. He partnered with Nicholas Roeder to start Carver's Coffee House which became one of Dumont's most well-known landmarks today. In 1924 the first commercially roasted coffee beans were shipped from Africa to Newark operated by Dutchman Hendrick Beulière under the name Beulière & Co.. Today's largest roaster in Dumont is Peet's Coffee Company which began operations in 1922 and has since become one of America's leading roasters responsible for over 50 million cups of ground espresso each year!

Dumont is a town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 11,657 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New York City Metropolitan Area. The town was founded by Germans in 1754 as West Deptford Township and became Dumont in 1814 when it merged with East Deptford Township.
Dumont, New Jersey is a small town on the Monmouth County line in southeastern New Jersey. It is the only municipality in Monmouth County and was incorporated as a borough on October 14, 1856. The population was 3,869 at the 2010 census. Dumont's name comes from Monsieur Dumont who was executed for espionage in 1793 during the French and Indian War. The town has been known for its cranberry sauce since 1835. Dumont was founded by French Canadians Pierre-André Dumont and his brother Jean-Baptiste Dumont on October 14, 1856 as a borough of Monmouth County. The first settler arrived with five wagonloads of potatoes from Quebec City to begin Agriculture and Manufacturing Works which became the largest cranberry sauce producer in America. In 1860, John Totten purchased all of Dumont's swampy land south of present day Main Street for $5 per acre and opened what would become called "Totten's Swamp". This new business provided employment for many local people until it closed in 1864 due to competition from larger businesses. In 1865, John Totten married Elizabeth (née Kapp) and moved to what is now called "The Terrace" where he built an estate that still stands today atop a hill overlooking The Boggy Mine Road just east of Center Avenue. They had four children: Anna (1866-1948), Julius (1868-1957), Edwin Atherton Totten (1870-1947), and Eleanor Roosevelt Totten (1872-1964). Anna died at age 92 after a long illness; her husband Julius passed away at age 95 years old on November 25, 2018; he had been bedridden since January 5th due to kidney failure caused by multiple sclerosis
There is a long and varied coffee history, which can be traced back to the beginnings of coffee consumption in Africa. Coffee was brewed using water that had been collected from trees or soils near settlements. The first European exposure to coffee occurred when Portuguese sailors discovered the island of Java in 1521. They brought with them their new technology of printing press, which may have stimulated an interest in java beans among Europeans. In 1795, Giovanni Battista Bonomi founded the Bonomi Coffee Company in Rome, Italy. He named his business after himself because he found the bean market too dull for his own interests alone and decided to focus on making world-renowned coffees. The company soon became one of the largest coffee producers in Europe and exported its products all over the world. In 1847, Luigi Bezzuco founded Bezzuco Coffee Company in Turin, Italy – this was also where Italian espresso first began being made at home by Italians for their own needs rather than buying it from abroad. By 1901, Italian espresso had become so popular that several Nestle companies merged into one to form Nestle-Bezzuco International AG (now PepsiCo). During World War II, many Italians were displaced and forced into refugee camps throughout Europe; these refugees were then able to bring back some of their favorite European coffees such as Romanee Conti and Perugia Romano roasts from Ethiopia. Afterward, these beans regained popularity within Starbucks due to their unique flavor profile and earthy textures—the two main features distinguishingAWS roast type from other types of roasted beans available on store shelves today ( FIGURE 1 ). These days, most artisanal roasts come from regions like South America or Africa—this allows farmers who produce those specific areas a greater level of control over what they do with their beans while still producing high-quality cupcakes/coffeeprints/.

Dumont was a small town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. The name means "town of the dunes." The first European settlement in Dumont occurred in 1714 when Anthony Dumont and his brother settled on the present-day site of Dumont Township. A post office was established there on October 12, 1715, under the name of Bedminster. On November 10, 1818, a fire destroyed most of Dumont's buildings and occupants were forced to flee into nearby Woolwich Township. In 1843, a group of citizens petitioned for incorporation as Borough of Newark; it was granted on July 8 that year. In 1865 however Borough status was revoked due to lack of finances and after only two years it reverted back to Hunterdon County control with a new borough charter being adopted on December 3rd. The name change did not reflect historical reality as all but one street in Borough had been named George Washington Boulevard which still stands today within the City limits of Newark – separate from what is now known as Downtown Newark (the original plan for downtown). On February 14th 1914 Mayor John J. Madden declared a stateOf Emergency due to an outbreak of influenza pandemic then raging throughout America particularly in New Jersey; he activated the city's health department for distribution to residents regardless their ability or inability to leave their homes Mayor Madden also called upon all businesses within its limits closed during this time should anyone fall ill This event helped spur the development around First National Bank Grounds near Center Street which would later become home to many high-profile businesses including Prudential Financial Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) and BorgWarner Incorporated (now AOL Time Warner) while also providing much needed relief during World War I shortages elsewhere in NJ
