The Dumont Air Force Base Museum is home to the world’s largest air force gift shop. The store, open since 1967, has a variety of air force items from uniforms and insignia to props and memorabilia. The store is also home to the Dumont-Henderson Memorial Chapel, which was dedicated in 1978 in memory of both Generals James A. Henderson and Clifford B. Beecham. The chapel contains a statue of General Beecham and a collection of military medals and awards from around the world. In addition to its role as an air force gift shop, the museum also houses several exhibits on Dumont’s history, including an exhibit on the construction of Dumont-Henderson AFB. In 1976, then Mayor John Fortunato dedicated a new wing at the base to house the New Jersey State Police Academy and other state police units. In 1996, Congressman Bob Menendez dedicated a wing adjacent to the academy for use by local law enforcement agencies.

Dumont is a small town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark-Haledon-Newark metropolitan area. Dumont's rich history began with its incorporation as a village in 1814 and continued until it became a town on July 1, 1871. The first post office was established in Dumont on November 5, 1814. The community was named after Pierre Dumont, an early settler and one of the original surveyors for Morris County. On October 15, 1825, Pierre's brother Jacques erected the first frame house in Dumont and named it "Dumont". In 1840, Judge John Atherton purchased land southeast of Dumont from the Perelman family and built a cabin there which he called "Atherton Manor". In 1865–66 James Hynes built a large dairy farm northwest of Dumont on land that had been designated as parcel #2 in what is now known as Montclair Township; this farm would later become known as Hynes Dairy east of Ivy League Road near where Interstate 95 crosses Route 9 outside of town. On July 1, 1871 – four years after incorporation – Dumont became a Town when all but two residents voted to recognize it by law. At its height during World War II (1939-1945), the population reached 2,500 people who lived cheek by jowl on three blocks between Elmwood Avenue and Route 22/24 Streets. After 1945 many residents left for various reasons including racial integration into nearby towns such as Newark or Morristown (the last white enclave withinMorris County). In recent years some businesses have reopened including several located adjacent to I-95 exit 7B just off Village Green Drive across from Boro Park Elementary School while others closed down due to lack of customers or competition from other areas within Morris County having surpassed Dumont’s tax base or infrastructure for businesses seeking to locate there such as Edison or Woodbridge Township

Air Force Gift Policies There are several significant aspects of USAF gift policy that need clarification before making any decisions about giving gifts to members of the military or their families. These policies can be broken down into three main areas: 1) who can receive gifts; 2) what type of gifts may be given; and 3) how often givers are allowed to givegifts within a specific restricted time frame. 1) Who Can Receive Gifts? First and foremost, all active duty military Personnel may receive gifts from USAF without exception provided they meet certain criteria outlined in policy §5b(a). This includes both enlisted soldiers and officers who are on active duty or have been activated for training purposes only (i.e., not currently deployed). A member must be one year older than full service age at the time they become an Airman/Airmen member; must have passed an initial physical examination; must maintain good conduct during their enlistment period (up until your release from service); must provide written informed consent forms executed by your commanding officer; and must sign a waiver form acknowledging you will accept any toy or items you receive as a gift from us! Officers who are assigned overseas complete similar requirements but also include provisions for receiving toys/items upon their return home – please see below for more information on this subject area! Enlisted soldiers under 18 years old cannot receive presents unless accompanied by parental permission or written agreement signed by parent/guardian/. No exceptions will be made for pregnant women nor children serving in combat zones! As always though – if there is any suspicion that someone may not meet these requirements then we take appropriate measures including referring them for additional review! 2) What Types Of Gifts May Be GIVEN? As stated earlier - Active Duty Military Personnel are only permitted to receive gifts from us if they meet certain criteria outlined in policy §5b(a). However currentActive Duty Military Personnel as well as Officers appointed Overseas do notnecessarily follow these same restrictions - however such individuals still requirewritten informed consent forms executed by commanding officer along with waivers acceptance forms acknowledging receiptof toy/items as something gifted via email instead of through mail! Dumont is a town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 10,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia–Camden–Wilmington metropolitan area. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Dumont were French colonists who founded the village of Point Pleasant in 1676. The Dutch arrived in 1714 and founded a small town called Oudenaarde on the west bank of the Raritan River. In 1727, English colonists began arriving and erected a small forts at Clinton and West Milford Streets (now known as Washington Boulevard). The English named their new settlement after Admiral Sir John Dumont, 2nd Baronet (1685-1748), who had commanded British forces during the American War of Independence. In 1781, during the American Revolution, Dumont sided with America and aided her against British troops under Lieutenant Colonel George Washington while they were invading New Jersey from Canada. After America's victory over Britain at Saratoga on September 11th, 1813, Dumont became an integral part of New Jersey as its capital city until it was moved to Trenton in 1846. Dumont has been home to several industries including textiles and shoe production; printing; chemical manufacturing; agriculture; telecommunications; furniture assembly and woodworking since its founding by early settlers. The community has also played host to numerous events such as summer picnics and ice cream socials that have helped keep its streets clean and lively throughout the year. Today, Dumont boasts an extensive library system consisting of more than 350 items including rare books, manuscripts and historical documents dating back to colonial times According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough had a total area of 7 square miles (19 km2), all of it land. As of 2010 census,[1] there were 10,711 people residing in Dumont Borough: 8% White alone or black alone (0/9); 15% Hispanic or Latino (of any race); 25% Asian Pacific Islander; 15% two or more races; 5% not affiliated with any racial group
Dumont, NJ was founded in 1795 by George Dumont and his family. The community reached its peak during the 1840s when it had a population of over 1,000 people. Dumont began to decline after 1840, and by 1860 it had only 100 residents. In 1965, the community was annexed by Paterson.
