Some of these men formed the first shooting societies in the area and soon began bringing their rifles and shotguns to Camden for practice. One of the earliest shooters in Camden was John Treadwell, who helped found The Park Rifle Club in 1873. This club enjoyed some success during its early years, but eventually folded due to financial difficulties. In 1879, a new rifle and shotgun society was founded in Camden by George Hinton and his son-in-law Hiram Quesnel. The Hinton Society enjoyed moderate success for several years until it too disbanded in 1885 due to lack of support from local politicians. In 1895, another new rifle and shotgun society was founded by James Denton with the help of his brother-in-law Samuel Morse. The Denton Society quickly achieved some success, winning a number of trophies at local gun shows. However, this club also faced problems such as poor funding and falling membership levels; it eventually disbanded in 1897. Only a few months later, another new rifle and shotgun society was founded by Emanuel Levin with the help of his son Julius Rosenberg; this society became successful enough to warrant its own monthly magazine called The Gunsmiths Journal which started appearing regularly in 1898. Over time, other clubs were established within Camden specifically designed for shooting enthusiasts; these clubs often achieved more success than their predecessors because they had more money available to them (e.g., The Park Rifle Club went bankrupt again after only four years). Eventually, all those active shooter organizations within Camden consolidated into one group under the name The Shooting Sports Foundation (TSF) in 1916; this organization continued to exist until 1978 when it merged with NRA’s American Pistol Association (APA) to form today’s NRA/CPTSD (National Shooting Sports Foundation/National Rifle Association/ Canadian Pistol & Shotgun Development Committee).

For example: In 1951, only 10% of households owned homes; compared to 85% for Newark; and only 30% of workers were employed within commuting distance from their jobs (compared to 50% for Newark). Additionally: African Americans made up only 12% of all residents in 1990 but constituted 31% of all employees working within commuting distance from their jobs; while Latinos comprised 26% but made up 43% of all employees working within commuting distance from their jobs (as opposed to 8% for African Americans). This decline has been largely due to increases in housing prices and joblessness among low-income residents – two issues which have caused increasing tension between rich vs poor communities throughout much of North America today. Despite these challenges though - including high crime rates and poverty rates - Camden continues to be one of America's most vibrant cities with a thriving arts scene and growing economy that employs more than 100 000 people across multiple industries annually
