The Marine Corps Deployed Gift History Project was initiated in 2007 as a way to perpetuate the Marines’ traditions and values. The project is designed to provide the public with information about the history of marine gifts and how they have been used by marines. Since its inception, the Marine Corps Deployed gift history project has donated over $68,000 to various charities and organizations. These donations have helped make a impact on many different areas including education, health care, veteran support, and more. Now in its sixth year, the Marine CorpsDeployed gift history project continues to contribute valuable information that can help preserve our military culture and traditions while also helping others. Through this project we hope to provide Marines with an understanding of their role in society as well as achance to make a difference.
The Marine Corps Deployment Gift Program is a unique and valuable resource for Marines. The program provides opportunities to give back to the Marines who have served us by delivering gifts that will make their lives easier while they are deployed. The Department of Defense (DoD) deploys Marines in support of our nation’s defense missions around the world. The gift program helps Toombs County, GA-based Marine barracks provide a home away from home for the troops. It is through this program that we can provide soldiers and sailors with all the necessary supplies, equipment, and encouragement they need while on deployment. Since its inception in 2003, the Marine Deployment Gift Program has delivered more than 26,000 gifts to Marines stationed abroad. This includes items such as automobiles, kitchen appliances, electronics, furniture, and more. In addition to supporting our troops overseas, the gift program also helps Toombs County businesses get involved with military life by providing them with products and services needed by Marines stationed overseas. Lebanon, New Hampshire is a small town located in Derry County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 2,636 at the 2010 census. It is the smallest of the towns in Derry County and has a land area of only . As of the 2000 census, Lebanon had a population of 1,965. The name "Lebanon" comes from Lebanese immigrants who settled there during the 1800s. Today's town was founded in 1812 as Lebanon village by farmers from Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Lebanon became incorporated as a town on December 12th 1920 by an act of the New Hampshire General Court following approval by referendum held that same day. The original proprietors were John Greenough (1811-1892), his brother Isaac Greenough (1797-1868), Amos Sargent (1804-1876), Wm Halsey (1796-1864) and others who had migrated to North America from what is now Syria or Lebanon in the mid 1800s. In 1955, when Vermont changed its constitution to allow municipalities to be created without voter approval and incorporation occurred automatically with no reference to legislation by either house thereof, Lebanon voted to become an incorporated village rather than incorporating as a town because it felt this would provide more independence for its affairs and reduce legal confusion which could have impacted its status should future township incorporations occur elsewhere within Derry County without prior notification or vote by residents therein). The present day economy primarily revolves around agriculture with some light manufacturing also taking place; however many residents are employed outside their homes through various businesses located throughout the community such as several restaurants/cafés/convenience stores/grocery stores etc., all of which participate in local economic development initiatives including both home borne tourism products like wineries tours etc., along with international visitors arriving through border crossings into Vermont or Massachusetts each weeknight while staying at local hotels on Main Street; also available are motel rooms accessible via drive thru lanes near most restaurants
