The United States Navy deployed gift history in North Las Vegas, Nevada on November 6th, 1951 when the USS Constitution (CV-3) transported aload of gifts to the city following its return from its deployment in Korea. The gifts were given to individuals and business entities in the city as part of the Naval Symposium and Exposition. The USS Constitution (CV-3) was commissioned on December 20th, 1950 and served during the Korean War. It participated in a number of combined operations including Inchon and Ulchi Freedom Guardian. On April 10th, 1953, it returned to duty in San Diego with combat crewmembers embarked. During its tour of duty in California it transported gifts to cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. The ship decommissioned on October 15th, 1954 at Stockton, California after serving for 34 years. The USS Constitution (CV-3) is often considered one of America’s favorite warships because she was able to operate during both World Wars II and Korea while being seaworthy enough for both deployments. Her service has earned her numerous awards including two Presidential Unit Citations and four battle stars.

North Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 26,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area. North Las Vegas is located on the north edge of the McCarran International Airport. The history of North Las Vegas goes back to 1911 when tiny North Las Vegas was founded by prospectors John and Emma Miner as a mining and development town. The name originated from adjacent Harmon Mountain which was often mistaken for Harmon Hills in neighboring Paradise Valley because they were so high. In 1912, mail carrier Wm Crouse delivered letters from company president Harry Sinclair in nearby Reno and realized that his home state had no capital city named NorthLasVegas like Nevada did! He penned an article for Northern Nevada magazine about what he called "the new Reno" which included pictures of Harmon Hills and American Canyon (northwest corner of town) - both now gone but their memories remain long in local residents' hearts! In 1915, miner/developer George Aiken purchased land east of downtown for $3,000 dollars to build what would become City Hall Park (later renamed Miracle Mile). This site became the nucleus around which business development proceeded with streets being named after early pioneers such as J.C. Whitehead (1901-1909), Payson Girdler (1892-1939), Eben Sasse (1875-1965), Fenton Ferguson (1890-1963), Herbert Hoover(1915-) – all men who made a significant contribution to their respective towns or regions during those years: Whitehead formining; Girdler for real estate; Sasse for banking and manufacturing; Ferguson for shipping supplies; Hoover for government services rendered – including law enforcement etc.; and finally Mayor James Hickey’s original four story office building built in 1925 on property currently occupied by LVH Casino LLC headquarters.. Aiken also constructed several churches throughout his tenure: First Baptist Church first erected in 1923 on Third Street between Fremont Avenue and South Spring Garden Place; Second Baptist Church next door in 1925 on Fourth Street between Fremont Avenue and South Spring Garden Place; Holy Cross Catholic Church built 1929 just south of City Hall Park along Hughes Boulevard facing Spring Garden Place where it still stands today as one of only two functioning Roman Catholic churches within twenty miles OF Sinatra’s Hollywood home at Palm Springs Playland… then finally Trinity Methodist EpiscopalChurch completed 1935 just east off 4th Street near Sahara Avenue facing Summerlin Drive where it still stands today as one of only two functioningMethodist Episcopal Churches within twenty miles OF Sinatra’s Hollywood home at Palm Springs Playland among many other notable structures dating back to this period including Donnybrook Lumber Sales Company Building completed 1921 soon after World War I Headquarters moved here from Reno… . . . . . . . The Navy deployed a gift to North Las Vegas, Nevada last weekend. The gift was a USS George Washington Naval Museum exhibit. The exhibit is open to the public from 9am-5pm this Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
