It is interesting to note that during this time period there were no mobile Crime Stoppers units available in Nebraska at this time so citizen complaints about crimes were much more difficult to solve than they are today. By 1915 however,North Platte had moved again and local citizens now relied upon horse patrols instead of policemen as their primary tool for crime prevention and detection. North Platte, Nebraska is a town located in the eastern Illinois Valley. The city's population was 9,362 at the 2010 census. North Platte is the county seat of Grant County and home to North Platte State University, one of the largest public universities in Nebraska.
