Tactical Coffee began operations in La Vista, Nebraska in 1984. The company is a small-time roaster and coffee shop that specializes in organic, artisanal coffee. Tactical Coffee has been around for over 20 years and has consistently ranked as one of the best small businesses in the area. In 1984, Tactical Coffee was founded by Rick Newbold and John Prentice. Rick Newbold had worked at several local cafes before starting his own business. He was approached about starting a coffee shop by his friend John Prentice, who had also started a business serving organic coffee. At first, Tactical Coffee only served fresh roasted beans from their own roasting facility on the main street in La Vista. In 1995, they moved to their current location on Delaware Street near US 275. Today, Tactical Coffee continues to serve up amazing cup of caffeine with its organic origins andartisanal styles of roasting. They offer everything from light to dark roast options along with majorities of single origin coffees from all over the world including Guatemala City & Indonesia respectively !

La Vista is a small town located in the Nebraska Panhandle. The population was 5,827 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Buena Vista County. The town was founded in 1868 by LeRoy Hickman and his family. Hickman named it after La Vista, Colorado, where he had been born in 1853. Hickman's father, John Hickman, had come to Nebraska from Colorado in 1861 and homesteaded in what is now La Vista. Hickman Elementary School was founded in 1915 and renamed La Vista High School in 1977. In 2006, the school closed due to financial troubles and reopened as a charter school called Lincoln Middle School after being acquired by Buena Vista County Schools District 106A. La Vista also has a post office which opened on October 16, 1868 under the name of "Hickmanville". The post office was changed to its current name on November 3rd of that year. The first mail carrier arrived on horseback from Ft Kearny on December 2nd with orders from Ulysses S Grant ordering all Utes not to open their mail until after Christmas because of an outbreak of measles that had hit the area two weeks earlier. In 1897-98 La Vista (the then small town) built a new water tower using locally mined limestone that still stands today as one of La Vista's most prominent landmarks (along with some other buildings including the old high school). The water tower became one of several public works projects funded by $5 million given to Buena Vista County through legislation titled "Public Works Development Act" passed by Congress on July 10th, 1928 as part of Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal programs designed to stabilize economic conditions across America during difficult times caused by Great Depression-era banks and investment companies collapse nationally and globally

In 1795, Captain John Smith discovered Java Island, which he named after the Arab trader Abdallah ibn Musa al-Maktoum. Java island was home to the first lettered European colony in Southeast Asia and soon became a center for Dutch trading interests in the region. The town grew quickly, thanks to its location on the banks of the Missouri River and its access to cheap land and water resources. In 1870, La Vista became the first city in Nebraska. The city's growth continued through the years, but it was World War I that truly made La Vista one of America's leading wartime cities. The war brought many new residents to La Vista, and they came to help build up the city's infrastructure. The war also helped make La Vista one of Nebraska's largest towns, with over 26,000 people living in it at its peak. After the war ended, La Vista experienced several decades of stagnation. However, in the late 1960s and early 1970s, things began to change for La Vista. Thanks in part to activism by local businesses and citizens alike, La Vista saw a rapid increase in development around town. Today, La Vista is one of America's most vibrant communities – full of culture, commerce and opportunity –and remains an important cultural center for Nebraskans."

La Vista became a railroad town, and experienced rapid growth during its early years. In 1907, the first post office in La Vista opened. By 1912, the population of La Vista had reached 1,500 people. The city's heyday came during World War I when it served as an important military base for the US army. The city also grew rapidly following World War II as a result of its location on the Great Plains and its role as a hub for agricultural production. In recent years, however, La Vista has seen significant decline due to economic factors such as decreased freight traffic and increased competition from nearby towns.
