There has been coffee production in La Vista, Nebraska for over 100 years. Coffee beans were first grown on the property of Mrs. Anna Loomis in 1868. Today, The Beanery coffee company continues to produce delicious cups of coffee from their small but committed team of growers and roasters. The history of La Vista goes back even further than that; to 1827 when a group of farmers traveled from Illinois to find new land to grow crops and start a new life in what is now Nebraska. They brought with them their own methods for grinding and brewing coffee - which we still enjoy today! The town was founded on the site of what is now the Beanery store in 1912 by J.D. Hearn and his brother-in-law, John Doegan. It was during this time that the first church building was erected in town and it remains one of its most popular destinations today! In 1924, Mr. George Wuhrer made an offer for land north of the city limits which would become known as Whiskey Row (now part of downtown). He built a small factory there that became world famous for producing high quality gourmet coffee beans under the name OFRACOBS! Over time, other companies followed suit - such as Dutch Bros., Peet's Coffee Company, Starbucks, etc... However, OFRACOBS always held special place within La Vista’s heart because they are considered some of the last remaining independent bean producers in America! In 1999, OFRACOBS merged with another large gourmet coffee company - Peet’s Coffee Company - creating one Ofracoob trademarked brand across all their products! Today at The Beanery where beans are roasted fresh daily using only premium Arabica beans sourced from local farms – no two cups are ever quite alike! The first gourmet coffee shop in La Vista was The Blue Bottle Coffee Company from 1997-1998. In 2001, The Knot Coffee House opened and quickly became a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. In 2007, the COFFEE label was introduced to the La Vista community by owner/operator TJ Kittle in an effort to promote fresh, local, and sustainable coffee sourcing. In 2013, The Green Gourmet Coffee House opened its doors and has been a mainstay in the area ever since.
La Vista is a small town in the U.S. state of Nebraska, located about 20 miles (32 km) east of Lincoln on Interstate 80. The population was 1,855 at the 2010 census. La Vista is part of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Statistical Area. A post office called La Vista was established in 1876, and remained in operation until it closed in 1993. The name comes from Spanish for "the view." La Vista has two churches: First Presbyterian and Baptist. There are also several stores and businesses including a gas station, grain elevator, grocery store, bowling alley, ice cream parlor, barber shop and pizza place. The Chisholm Trail winds through La Vista town limits and runs past many of the local businesses as well as US Highway 190 which forms the eastern boundary of town.

The first coffee houses were founded in the late 18th century in London, England. These coffeehouses sold morning papers from hand-carvedblocks of wood that would be brewed by the patrons themselves. These early cafes served a variety of different items such as hot chocolate, pastries, breads, eggs and bacon, and tea. By 1800, however, cafés had become quite popular throughout Europe due to their delicious cup of java! In some cases like Paris’ Le Jardin des Plantes (shown below), customers could buy individual tickets for up to three hours worth of food service! This allowed for very long stays during peak hours when all the delicious foods were available! During the 19th century café culture spread throughout North America. Coffee was still just a novelty at this point; people generally only drank beer or wine instead. However, with the invention of electric lights in 1875 and improved transportation systems in place throughout North America., cafés became an increasingly popular option for nightlife attendees looking for something new to do after work or during vacation! The popularity of these establishments led to more improvised designs with exposed brick walls which also allowed customers more interaction with one another! Although some Cafés did manage to keep up with changing trends like Chicago’s Wrigley Building shown below where they added light fixtures above each table which simulated stars at night!, others succumbed to modernization eventually closing their doors forever!!!

La Vista was founded in 1868 by Captain James A. McClain and his wife, Ann. The town was named for the Battle of La Villa on July 17, 1846, which ended the Mexican-American War. The town grew quickly and by 1870 it had a population of over 100 people. In 1872, La Vista became the first city in Nebraska. The early years of La Vista were difficult; many of its citizens had to start from scratch after the Nebraska Territory was created in 1861. However, through hard work and determination, La Vista slowly grew into a thriving community. It wasn't until 1907 that La Vista got its own post office. By 1912, La Vista had a population of over 350 people and it became an important economic center in the area. In 1916, Captain McClain died suddenly and his widow took control of the town as its first mayor. She continued to lead La Vista until her death in 1933; during her time, La Vista made strides towards becoming a modern day city with good infrastructure and excellent public services. In 1945, Mayor Clyde Aiken installed LAVIA (Lincoln Area Visitors Association) as its official organization to promote tourism within the community and help make life easier for tourists who came visit La Vegas from all around Lincoln County! In 2013, Mayor John Suthers announced that he would be retiring at the end of his current term; however, he remains active with LAVIA continuing to promote tourism within the community

The town grew quickly and soon had a population of around 100 people. In 1892, La Vista became a city and it has since grown to over 100,000 people.
