When he reached Hastings he ordered General James Mclntyre to burn all of its buildings before moving on to Kearney but failed to find any evidence that anyone had been living there other than local pioneers who had fled burning sites in that area moments beforehand! Aftermath of battle between Union troops under Hancock vs Confederate forces near contemporary Hastings left three dead and many injuries including one Confederate colonel... Hasting's victory over these Yankees remains one of Hastings' most celebrated moments in history! Many residents of Hastings also fought important battles during World War II including those defending Omaha Beach on Normandy; Battle of Iwo Jima; Airfields around Sioux City; and Battle of Peleliu Island off Okinawa where they risked their lives day and night while others died due to accidents or disease contracted during combat zones!
