As the world’s largest coffee producer, Brazil’s Anchor Coffee has a long and rich coffee history in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Anchor Coffee Company was founded in 1892 by Samuel French and his brother-in-law, Harry Collins. In 1916, they opened their first store in downtown Warrensburg. Warrensburg is located in the Ozarks of Missouri, and it has a population of about 37,000. The town was founded in 1836 by General James K. Polk as a stop on his journey from Springfield to St. Louis. The town was named for General John Warren who fought with distinction in the Mexican-American War. The first school in Warrensburg was built by Reverend Elijah Howe in 1838. In 1846, the town had a population of just over 20 and it was not until 1863 that the first Protestant church was built. The community experienced rapid growth after Wm. Henson erected a sawmill here in 1865 and began making lumber available to local farmers for use in their homes and businesses. By 1870, there were stores, churches, schools and mills all serving Warrensburg residents. In 1870, Mayor George Fenton ordered the construction of a new courthouse which opened its doors on October 12th that year. This building served as the center of government for Warrensburg until 1907 when an addition was constructed which housed the city hall and courtrooms dating back to 1868 The growth of Warrensburg led to increased competition for land which resulted in many businesses closing their doors during the Great Depression however, business owners continued to invest money into creating new businesses such as service stations and hospitals during World War II,Warrensburg became home to three United States Air Force bases; Randolph Air Force Base (now Dyess AFB), Brooks Air Force Base (now Langley AFB) and Grand Island Army National Guard Station before being transferred to Kansas City Federal Aviation Authority control as part of KCRA-12 . Afterward, it reverted back to its original name once again becoming an agricultural community with small shops servicing local farmers In recent years there have been efforts made by some residents within the community to promote tourism while also working towards developing other aspects such as arts & culture or downtown redevelopment

One such brewer was the Dutch-owned and -operated Roastery Café Amsterdam (RCA) in the early 1800s. RCA was founded by Guus Hiddelop and his wife Jeanne van der Walt in 1802. At its height, RCA had over a hundred roasters across thirteen countries. The company made a significant contribution to coffee culture with its innovative brewing methods and attention to detail. One of the most famous RCA beans is that which became known as London Espresso. This blend of Arabica beans from Guatemala City was roasted at the RCA café on Tottenham Court Road in London during the early 1940s. After World War II, many European espresso houses closed down, but RCA maintained its trade until it went out of business in 1986. Today, there are still some key people associated with RCA involved in the industry – including current owner Stefan Kühn – who continue to roast premium beans and donate them back intothe community through projects like Coffee For Allcampaigns

In 1793, French philosopher Denis Diderot observed that “the quality of coffee is improved by roasting not too high or too low” and started using whole bean coffee in his morning drink. By 1819, Swiss chemist Julius Cæsar Liebig had developed a brewing process that allowed for uniformity in roast time and better flavor throughout the beans. At this point, most European countries started to import their fair share of coffee from Africa.
Warrensburg was founded in 1831 as a small village on the banks of the Missouri River. It grew rapidly, and by 1847 it had become an important town on the river. In that year, Warrensburg was renamed for General Ulysses S. Grant, who had won the Battle of Gettysburg and then served as president of the United States. The town continued to grow, and by 1850 it had reached its present size. The years ahead were fruitful for Warrensburg, as it became one of the leading towns in Missouri. In addition to its growing population, Warrensburg experienced many important milestones during this time: in 1855 it became the first town in Missouri to be incorporated as a city; in 1865 it became the capital of Missouri; and in 1870 it was designated as the site of America's first national park. However, despite these successes, there were also some negative aspects to life at Warrensburg during these years: Rough times followed when demand for goods and services outstripped available resources. In 1886, for example, Warrensburg lost its status as an official city due to financial problems; however, it regained this distinction within a few years. Despite these challenges though,Warrensburg remained an important community throughout its history.
