The navy gift history in St. Peters, Missouri dates back to the early 1800s when sailors from the USS Constitution would visit the community for supplies and repairs. Saint Peters is a small town located in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 3,782 at the 2010 census. Saint Peters was founded in 1837 by John and Martha Ann Donelson. It was named after Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ who traveled to India in the first century AD. The Donelson family farmstead still stands today and is registered with the National Register of Historic Places. The Donelson's donated land for the town and construction began on what would become Saint Peters in 1837. The town site included a log cabin used as a courthouse during the early years of its existence. In 1857, work began on what would become the centerpiece of Saint Peters - the Donelson Methodist Church which remains one of its most well-known landmarks today. Construction continued until 1893 when fire destroyed much of downtown Saint Peters while also damaging several other buildings including the Methodist Episcopal Church which still stands today inside what is now known as Park Plaza Shopping Center (now part of AMC Theatres). Most recently, demolition has occurred to begin redevelopment that will include two new high school campuses; one for public schools and one for private schools; a new library/park; and renovation or replacement of many existing structures within walking distance of each other including some that date back to earlier incarnation as churches/temples like First Baptist church dating back to 1827 (now home to Stroud Elementary School) or Holy Cross Catholic Church from 1880 making it one significant cultural addition over time since its incorporation into Saint Peters in 1898!

St. Peters also has a number of businesses which provide services to residents such as hospitals, schools, stores and transportation options including: Verizon Wireless Heating & Air Conditioning (opened 1984), Home Depot (opened 1968), JBL Audio/Video (opened 2003), Pinnacle Carpet Cleaning (opened1992) and American Megastore (founded 1978).
The city of St. Peters was founded in 1818 by Gabriel Hendrie and his wife, Catharine. The first store in the town was built on the corner of Elm and Main Streets. The population of St. Peters grew rapidly from its initial small population of just under 100 people to over 1,000 by 1830. A school and church were built soon afterward, and a local post office was established in 1833. In 1840, a railroad line was constructed through the town, which led to an increase in business and development. By 1860, St. Peters had a population of 3,500 people and had become one of the most important cities in Missouri. During the early 1800s, St. Peters became known for its production of cornmeal and other agricultural products; during this time it also became one of the largest producerates of cotton in Missouri. In 1872, a fire destroyed much of downtown Saint Peters, but Mayor John Sheahan organized a citizens' militia to help rebuild the city; this effort helped contribute to St. Peters' current status as an internationally recognized city with strong cultural ties
