Coffee has been brewed in St. Peters, Missouri since the late 1800s. The first coffeehouses in the city were started by Dutch immigrants and their families. In 1892, a German-born coffeeener named Fritz Kiefer opened the first grocery store in town and began serving coffee to customers on Second Street. The first known meeting of the St. Peters Coffee Association was held in 1898. In 1902, Dr. John Pohl established a dispensary in town and began selling medical supplies for use with coffee drinking patients. By 1909, there were twenty-four cafes operating in town and business was booming. In 1916, Mr. Harry Buehler purchased the old First National Bank building on Third Street from Mr. Kiefer and moved his shop into it as the first maga coffee house in town. This establishment became well known for its excellent cup of Joe service and chocolate cake recipes which are still popular today! During World War I, maga coffee houses served as places where soldiers could relax after combat; they also helped spread awareness about war messages through social media campaigns like "Maga Coffee For Victory." After the war, maga cafes continued to serve as a source of information and support for military personnel during peacetime until they were discontinued around 1970 due to health concerns related to caffeine addiction among military personnel living near large cafés like those found at Naval Surface Squadron 1/3's Submarine Base Key West (now part of Miami Beach). In 1979, Maga Coffee House No 1 Ltd., an independently owned small business within the city limits of St Peters commenced operationseurizing one of two original buildings at 202 Main Street (the other being Maga Cafe 2 Ltd.). Owned by Donny Shearer who had operated both businesses together since 1978 until his death in 1984 Maganation Limited Partnership bought both businesses from Donny's widow Linda Shearer upon her husband's death leaving Linda sole proprietor of both businesses - this arrangement continued into 1990 when Maganation changed its name back to Linda Shearer & Donny Shearer Company Limited following their divorce). At this time, ownership passed from Linda Sheerer to her son David who ran everything outside company hours - something that still remains unchanged today! From 1986 until 1992 David Shearers had also operated Bobbin'Noodle restaurant adjacent to Maganation on Court Road which specialised exclusivelyin hot dogs however that incarnation closed down due primarilyto lack of patronage over time despite claims by David that he would open up another restaurant inside or outside court ROAD!! All evidence suggests that although Dave never actually did open up another restaurant inside or outside COURT ROAD none such venture ever materialized so either claim is bogus!! A few years later Jack Lynch opened Beasley's Cafeteria next door (now demolished) and starting serving food between 9am-4pm DAILY he generated significant patronage due mainlyto his extensive memorabilia collection including vintage cups & mugs etc... latterly continuing operation alongside new premises located at 11th Ave NE corner State Route 128 shortly before closure effective 3rd Mar 2001 owing various structural problems caused by overuse...All indications suggest that although Jack never actually DID open up another restaurant inside or outside STATE ROUTE 128 none such venture ever materialized so either claim is bogus!!!For more than 25 years Beasley’s Cafeteria operated successfully providing quality food at reasonable prices right next door TO THE SKYLINE without any interference whatsoever from our neighbouring Power Steakhouse !! !! In 1984, TCBR merged with Dutch Coffee Company and became known as Dutch Coffee Corporation (DCC). DCC continued to roast Turkish-inspired espresso drinks under the name Dutch Coffee Corporation (DCC) until it sold its assets to Starbucks in 2006. Since Starbucks purchased Dutch Coffee Corporation (DCC), there has been a continuous rotation of roasters at DCC including: Bean City, Counter Culture, Blue Bottle Brewery, Four Barrel Brewing, and Dark & Stormy Distillery.
St. Peters, Missouri is a city located in the central region of the US state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, its population was 14,824. St. Peters is one of three cities in MO that have a population over 15,000 people (the others are Kansas City and Springfield). The city became a town on May 16, 1858 when it was organized from part of Platteville Township. On December 6, 1907, it was renamed for Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church which had been built in 1854 by Father John Nevin. The downtown area has been renovated several times since the early 21st century; most recently in 2009-10 with an estimated $50 million investment primarily funded by private donations and tax breaks from the city government. The renovation included new sidewalks, lighting and streetcars throughout downtown as well as new architecture including a new Main Street building that replaced an older structure dating back to 1859-60. This project also included demolition of two other buildings within walking distance of each other: One house stood until around 1924 when it was destroyed by fire; the second building housed what is now known as Central Library before being demolished in 1951 to make way for Interstate 44 construction which ultimately destroyed it. As one of few major US cities not facing significant decline due to suburban sprawl or foreign policy interventions such as Hurricane Katrina or Superstorm Sandy – despite experiencing rapid growth since 2000 – St. Peters has seen recent attention paid to its infrastructure projects such as revitalization of many main thoroughfares such as Main Street/Jefferson Avenue and restoration/replacement/addition of various water features including storm sewers and rain gardens on State Fairgrounds– all while maintaining access to affordable housing statewide through efforts like “Homes for All” program administered by HUD . The first maga coffee was grown in the early 1800s by Portuguese farmers. The beans were roasted and ground in their own homes. In 1881, a group of Italians founded a cooperative that grew maga coffee.
St. Peters, Missouri was founded on December 5, 1831 by the Fathers of the Irish Mission in America as a Catholic mission station on the banks of the Arkansas River. The first pastor and priest, Father John Egan, arrived at St. Peters on October 10, 1832. On May 1, 1834, Pope Gregory XVI designated this small community as a parish and assigned to it the difficult task of evangelizing all sections of Missouri Territory. Father Egan led his congregation through wintry winters and blistering summers until he expired in 1850; but his spirit continued to guide his followers until their premature death in 1886. The erection of a church was begun in 1838 by Bishop James Moore with funding from Nicholas Lawerence; but it was not finished until 1840 when Bishop Moore bequeathed $10,000 to assist in its completion. The cornerstone for the present church was laid on September 12th of that year by Archbishop Loyola Jnr., under whose direction it has been erected since then. The parishioners have paid handsomely for their beautiful building which is one of only four Roman Catholics churches remaining standing in west-central Missouri after being destroyed by fire in 1925 and tornado damage in 1990. The growth of St. Peters during its early years can be traced back to Father John Fenton’s arrival in 1836 followed quickly by Fray Antonio Gomez who served as pastor from 1840-1845; Father Cornelius Kappenberg (1846-1849); Father Edward Byrne (1850-1852); and finally Fray José de la Fuente y Ortega (1854-1858). In 1860 Fray Lorenzo Francisco traveled to Spain to preach missions there before returning to take up residence at St Andrews Parish near Independence where he served until his death on January 16th 1865 aged eighty years old. When Kansas became an American state on November 16th 1861 all Catholic parishes within her boundaries were placed under the jurisdiction of what was then known as “the Department of Kansas” headed by Archbishop Loyola Jnr.. As a result many churches located within St Peters’ limits were lost or greatly reduced in size over time including both Our Lady’s Chapel located just eastside off I-680 about two miles southwest from present day St Peters Boulevard and also our original graveyard situated just west side off US Roger Bacon Highway about five miles southeast from today’s town center . A new rectory was erected for our priests between 1903 – 1907 following an offer from Mrs Mary McCarthy who donated land adjacent to her home across US Roger Bacon Highway from what is now First Avenue South It should be noted that while much has changed regarding Saints Peter & Paul Parish over time we remain largely intact with approximately 950+ faithful members living inside our walls today!
On October 20, 1831, a group of Mormons from St. Peters, Missouri started the first Latter Day Saint church in America. The church soon became known as the Mormon Church.
