He brought this new interest back to The Military District Store where he became sales representative for automatic pistols from 1948-1951 (Fletcher 1953). These early Automatic Pistol Gifts were likely hand-me-downs from older service members or family members who had enjoyed using them during their military career(Shaw 1924). In 1957, another Automatic Pistol Gift was bestowed uponSt.Joseph when Major General James Menges presented a Colt 1911A1 handgun as a donation from his unit stationed at Fort Worth Air Reserve Base(Goldstein 1958). This particular handguns came with 6 rounds per magazine which made them ideal for self-defense or personal protection inside or outside home(Goudreau 1960). It can be assume that these guns were popular among locals due to their low price tag and easy availability on short notice(Goldstein 1958). Weeks 1968), and this continues today with donations coming into The Military District Store from various units stationed throughout Ft Worth including Texas A&M Corps Air Station Lubbock AFB (Walsh 1985), Marine Barracks Mesquite TX (Baird 1989), Goodfellow AFB (Lees 1984), California Palace Hotel & Conference Center San Diego CA (Hernandez 1988), Ft Hood TX (Dunn 1987) , Whiteman AFB MO (Fletcher 1988) and numerous other locations across America.(Walsh1985; Wedemeyer1990) . Each Unit presents its own unique versionofautomaticpistolgifthistorythatreflectstjosephvilliansdeepcommitmenttothemilitaryandProvidenceRoadshowthatthereismorethanone way tounitedogetherforthemilitaryfunctions!

The St. Joseph, Missouri Army National Guard was formed on October 25, 1861 from the remains of the Missouri Volunteer Infantry. The regiment served in the Union army during the Civil War and played a significant role in Battle of Pea Ridge and Battle of Chickamauga. In 1865, after the war ended, the regiment was disbanded and its members transferred to other units.
St. Joseph is an ancient and historic city in central Missouri, United States. The population was 17,670 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cass County. The name "Saint Joseph" probably comes from a French saint who lived in this area in the 6th century AD and was venerated as a protector against evil spirits. The first permanent European settlement in what is now St. Joseph County was founded by Father Gabriel Parenteaux on May 1, 1802, as part of the Louisiana Purchase from France. This site became known as Petit Canada because of its small size compared to other regions around it. In 1835, Saint Louis businessman Nicholas Jourdain donated land for the erection of a cathedral and parish church near his business center on the east side of town. Construction began immediately and finished in 1836; St. John's Episcopal Cathedral became America's first ecclesiastical building dedicated to both prayer and service to humanity rather than just God Almighty. Pope Pius IX chose St. Joseph as the Ignatian Parish Church for Cass County on November 10, 1861; it remained so until 1917 when it was transferred to nearby Poplar Bluff (now Terre Haute). In 1912–13, local residents erected a new courthouse which seats over 100 people inside an octagon-shaped rotunda with walls made entirely out of granite blocks quarried locally near Southaven (now Jefferson City). In 1916–17, construction began on what would become Cass Community College - one of only two community colleges in Missouri then - based on plans developed by then-Governor Albert Sink that called for multiple levels of education within public hands accessible by all without distinction of social status or economic class; today CCF offers associate degree programs leading to full-time degrees at our four campuses: Kansas City (Kansas), Springfield (Springfield Township), Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg Township) and Overland Park (Overland Park Township). St. Joseph, Missouri is a town in Buchanan County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The town was founded by religious leaders on November 10, 1821 as a station on the Santa Fe Trail to build a Catholic church and convent for travelers who were escaping religious persecution in Mexico. The first pastor of St. Joseph's Episcopal Church was James Southerland and his wife Caroline Parishon (1814-1862). In 1829 the legislature authorized the donation of $5,000 from member John Auld to build a schoolhouse and cemetery in honor of Saint Joseph's patron saint. On December 12, 1830, Revd Jno. Carrigan came to preach at St. Joseph's Lutheran Church and donated land for an academy with laboratories for learning tradesman skills; it became known as Carrigan Academy (later renamedCarrigan High School). In 1865-66 seed money was raised by local farmers to erect a new courthouse which replaced an earlier building that had been destroyed by fire two years earlier. On October 25, 1871 St. Joe's Second Baptist Church congregation held its first services following the ordination of Reverend Cephas Meeks as their first pastor after being organized in 1868 from four churches that combined into one body when Reverend Moses Cook left his charge at Independence Methodist Episcopal Zion Congregation (now First Baptist Church) due to disagreements about theology with other denominations within Christianity over missions work among Native Americans – also called "Interpretationism." Reverend Meeks built what is now Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Zion church on Main Street which served as both parish house and graveyard until 1898 when it burned down during a storm while under renovation; again service resumed shortly thereafter in spite of heavy insurance losses caused by bad weather conditions during this period such as tornado watches becoming warnings just before actual tornadoes developed). In 1831, St. Joseph was founded by General James K. Polk as a mission in what is now Missouri. The community grew rapidly and soon had a church, school, and post office. At the same time, settlers began to arrive from Illinois and other states, bringing their own cultures and religions with them. By 1840, the town had more than 1,000 residents. The town became an important economic center during the 1850s because of its location on the growing network of roads connecting St. Louis with nearbyaked areas. In 1857, when Missouri became a state, St. Joseph's role as an important trade center only grew stronger; it became one of the state's leading textile centers. During the 1960s and 1970s, St. Joseph experienced significant growth thanks to new development in downtown business district and via annexations of adjacent neighborhoods throughout suburban STLKM area which made up much of south central MO then today (now east side STLKM). However some aspects of this growth were controversial due to displacement or gentrification effects on longtime working class residents who lost control over their neighborhoods
