A coffee history in St. Charles, Missouri begins with Carlos Santana and his family growing coffee beans on their farm in the early 1900s. The Santana family continued to grow Coffeebeans until the late 1920s when they moved to Illinois and started a new business, The Arabian Coffee Company. There Carlos played an important role in developing Arabian Coffee into one of the world's leading coffee companies. In 1948, he sold his company to J.B. Lippincott & Company for $1 million dollars. From then on, Carlos Santana's name was associated withArabian Coffee as its president and CEO from 1948-1973. Spanish immigrants who were working in American factories during World War II began returning home and bringing their love of Spanish culture with them. One such immigrant was Manuel Santana who brought his passion for coffee along with him when he came back to St. Charles in 1945 after serving in World War II as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). After moving back to St.Charles, Manuel opened up a small cafe called La Casita that became popular among military personnel and their families for its delicious cup of joe made from fresh roasted beans picked right from the ground! In 1951, Manuel purchased land at 601 Wabash Avenue which would become known as El Centro de la Colación (The Center of Roasting) because it would be where most of Arabian Coffee's beans were roasted before being shipped off to distributors throughout North America! Over time, other owners have been added to El Centro de la Colación including Don Francisco Gomez who ran it until 1974; Mario Cabrera until 1981; José Antonio Bermúdez until 1984; Andrés Ramos since 1985; and Hector Garcia since 1986! Today El Centro de la Colación is still run by Manuel Santana Jr., his son José Antonio Jr., grandson Hector Garcia III, and nephew Roberto Romo! All of these individuals continue to contribute importantly to making Arabian Coffee one of the world's leading coffee companies!

The history of artisan coffee in St. Charles, Missouri starts with two farmers who grew coffee beans on their farmstead for years before selling them to a local roaster. Over time, these businesses became larger and more organized, eventually creating the system we know today.

St. Charles, Missouri is a small town in the eastern edge of the state of Missouri. The population was 7,173 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-Jackson metropolitan area. The town was founded by French fur traders in 1764 as a post on the Illinois River for trading with Native Americans and Mormons. It grew rapidly due to its location and natural resources, becoming an important center of trade in western Missouri during the 18th century. During the American Civil War, St.Charles sided with Abraham Lincoln over Confederate General Joseph Easley. After the war, many residents migrated to Kansas City or other southern cities due to economic opportunities available there. However, some remain until present day in small businesses and agricultural settings along US Highway 60 corridor that runs through town center. The name "Saint Charles" originated from English missionaries who named it after Saint George (the patron saint of travelers). In honor of this history, a water fountain located near Main Street depicts an inscription reading "George Washington Ordered This Fountain erected Here To Honour Our Patron Saint."

As the industry of artisan coffee grew, so too did the demand for high-quality beans. In many cases, coffee farmers were able to produce their own beans and sell them directly to roasters or cafes. This allowed for a more direct connection between roaster and coffee farmer, leading to better quality beans and a higher price point. Some of the earliest Roastery Coffee stories date back to the 1800s when small businesses like The Daily Grind began selling coffee from small batches in their home kitchens. In 1949, Starbucks began importing Colombian coffee from South America, which helped spur the development of artisanal coffee as a global phenomenon. Over time, other iconic brands such as Peet's (which was founded in 1888) and Dunkin' Donuts (founded in 1948) have followed suit with their own unique interpretations of artisanal coffees. Today, there are countlessartisanal coffee shops scattered around the world that serve up some amazing beans! Whether you're looking for a delicious cup of Joe today or something special to share with your friends, there's sure to be something on offer at an artisanal café. So whether you're headlining a roast day at one of these establishments or simply wanting some fantastic espresso amid all the other deliciousness options out there, it's definitely worth checking out some of this year's most popular picks!

The first European coffee beans were grown in Ecuador, and they were roasted in small villages. Roasting was done with a manual process, where the beans would be soaked in water for two hours before being roasted.

St. Charles, Missouri is a town in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 5,857 at the 2010 census. The community of ruralicity is located on the eastern edge of St. Louis County and includes most of the small unincorporated communities of White Sands and East Village. It is also home to Carbondale Junior College and one high school, Central High School (St. Charles). The town was named after French explorer Jacques Marquette's expedition in 1763-64 that crossed the Mississippi River from Illinois to Lake Michigan; he called it "Château de la Pointe" (Castle on the Point). The first settler in what would become St. Charles was Isaac Norris in 1814 who platted out land around present day White Sands Creek as part of his western land grant from President James K. Polk to settlers John Fenton and Amos Kendall (). Norris had been an American Revolutionary War veteran () Norris moved his family into the new town in 1833 when he donated land for a Methodist church on what would later be known as east side Street between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue (). In 1836, when US Route 66 was built through central Missouri, Norris donated three acres (10 hectares) northwest of present day Carbondale for its proposed bypass road; this donation became known as "Norris Road". In 1850, Abraham Lincoln visited St. Charles while en route to Springfield via Carbondale; he stopped at Norris Road where he ate horse heart with butter () Lincoln later said: "I have never seen anything so barbarous or disgusting in my life." He then traveled northeast through Carbondale on Route 66 before continuing on to Springfield(). A few years later, during the American Civil War (), local Confederate forces burned down Union stores at East Village during an attempt to starve Union forces into submission (); this event is locally known as "the Battle of East Village". After hostilities ended and General Robert E Lee retreated from Missouri back across Mississippi River into Tennessee (), all Union stores reopened except for ones destroyed by Confederates near Carbondale (). After General Ulysses S Grant took command of army general action areas along I-55 corridor northward from Cairo Junction, nearby towns saw a significant increase in trade with Corinth,, Subiaco,, Saltillo,, and Carthage due to Grant's orders regarding food rations for troops stationed along I-55 corridor northward from Cairo Junction (). This increased trade led some people familiar with early 19th century slave culture—such as abolitionist writer Harriet Beecher Stowe—to describe Memphis area slave markets operated by planters south of Great Western Race Course as being more like those she associated with her childhood home plantation near Savannah Guthrie Airport (). In 1865–66 Confederate cavalry raided east village businesses looking for escaped slaves (), leading author Harper Lee to write about "a raid upon our peaceful little village" which she found "[took] away many things we valued most ... Some things were taken but not everything." However residents denied any raids occurred and still maintain property values within their own community today despite recent events taking place there

The first white settlement in the area was on a small island in the Mississippi River near present day St. Charles, Missouri. A man by the name of Joseph Whiteveil named his settlement after Saint Charles Borromeo, an Italian friar who evangelized and helped found Catholicism in America. The first white child born in this area was John Whiteveil's son, James. In 1821, James and his father William Whiteveil founded what would become called "The City of St. Louis." This town grew rapidly due to its location on the river and its access to trade with other parts of the United States as well as Europe. By 1830, The City of St. Louis had a population of over 10,000 people and it became one of the most prominent cities in America.
