The first Naval Ship Ammunition Depot was opened in 1815, and the navy has ever sent gifts to its troops stationed ashore. From small presents like candy canes or cigarettes to more luxurious items like rifles and boats, the navy has always been able to show its support for its troops. Since 9/11, the navy has become even more dedicated to sending Gifts of Support. Gifts of Support are shipments sent directly from the naval base in Sedalia, Missouri, all the way down to our troops fighting on land. Sedalia, Missouri is a small town in Sedalia County, Missouri, United States. The population was 5,391 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The main business districts are the Sedalia-Bellefontaine Business District and the nearby University Park Business District. The first settlers in this area were farmers who arrived from Illinois in 1836. They operated what is now called the "Old World" style of farming which used large tracts of land to cultivate crops and raise livestock. Over time however, other interests began to grow in Sedalia, including manufacturing and heavy industry during the late 1800s and early 1900s. In 1907, a group of businessmen decided to start an agricultural fair in Bellefontaine County as a way to promote agriculture in Sedalia and neighboring counties. This fair grew into one of Sedalia's most important annual events that still takes place today - each year more than 100 exhibitors come to sell their products at Bel-Fontaine Fairgrounds. During World War II, industries such as shipbuilding and aircraft production sprung up in Sedalia due to wartime demand for materials such as rubberized cordura wire and aluminum alloys. In 1946, Clarence King Jr., President Truman's choice for Secretary of Commerce (the first African American ever appointed), chose Sedalia over other contenders because he felt it would be an excellent location for a major new industrial park - Kingswood Village - which was finally built two decades later on land donated by Drury Ford Motor Company president John Dornan Sr.. Today, Sedalia is home to many Fortune 500 companies as well as thousands of individuals who work within its many businesses throughout downtown – making it one of America’s most vibrant cities!

Here are a few examples: In 1892, the Naval Hospital in Melbourne, Australia presented USS Tacoma (1893) with a gift of Australian sheepskin rugs. The wool had come from the farms that flanked nearby Victoria Harbor. In 1954, the United States Embassy in Jakarta presented USS Constitution (1897) with a gift of Indonesian coffee beans. This was the first time American goods had been given to an embassy in Indonesia. In 1971-1972, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo presented USS Enterprise (1943) with a gift of cigarettes and cigars from American cigarette company Imperial Tobacco Co.. This was one of many such gestures by America during the Yom Kippur War era.

Sedalia, Missouri is a city in Sedalia County, Missouri, United States. The population was 9,468 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Sedalia County and home to the Sedalia High School football team. The first permanent settlers of this area were three brothers from Delaware who arrived in 1831. They named their land "Sedalia" after General James K. Polk's headquarters near Petersburg, Virginia. In 1836, a group of Dutch farmers called for by General John Custer settled around what is now downtown Sedalia and began trading goods with the Indians. This area became known as "Dutch Town." In 1850, two men by the name of Rush and Hargrave donated land to the town for $1 per acre (later raised to $5). The town was incorporated on December 3, 1851. The first courthouse was built in 1870 and it served as the primary court until 1957 when it was replaced by a new courthouse which still stands today. During World War I, Sedalia furnished food for Soldiers' Home in Kansas City during World War I and also furnished food for American soldiers stationed overseas during World War II; afterwards they became known as "The GIs." On October 15th 1906 an earthquake struck parts of central Missouri causing extensive damage including loss of life and injuries to many people including Congressman Jesse Latham (D-MO) who had rushed to help his constituents after learning about the quake from friends living near its epicenter. As a result of this event local politics changed forever with most people wanting federal help since much damage had occurred without any warning or notice while other towns were still rebuilding following similar quakes that killed more people than any other single event in history up until then combined! Congresswoman Latham quickly put together a bill creating FEMA which among other things provided financial assistance to states impacted by natural disasters such as earthquakes however since Sedalia did not experience a natural disaster (or even have anyone die from one) she never got credit for her brave efforts! Despite this lack of recognition she remains one OF THE STRONGEST AND MOST FORMAL POLITICIANS IN MISSOURI TODAY!
Sedalia, Missouri was founded in 1839 by lumbermens from Jackson County. The town grew rapidly and soon became a center for the fur trade. In 1853, Sedalia became the capital of Missouri. The city endured several natural disasters during the Civil War, including a devastating fire in 1865 that destroyed most of the city. Sedalia recovered quickly and regained its status as a major center of commerce and culture after the war. In 1925, Sedalia became an annex to St. Louis.
