In Illinois, a similar coffee house called Dutch Bros. Coffee House was established in 1868. In Poplar Bluff, the first coffee shop opened in 1907 and continue to serve up its unique blend of farm-to-table coffee until today. The history of tactical coffee can be traced back to World War I when American soldiers were required to drink caffeinated energy drinks called "Cafés" as part of their battle fatigue regimen. These Cafés became popular with troops because they offered a fast and efficient way to get energy while on deployment; however, they were also dangerous because caffeine could make troops violent and aggressive. After World War I ended, many soldiers returned home and began looking for ways to give their tired bodies some much-needed energy without resorting to Cafés or other forms of caffeine addiction. One such soldier was Major General James Mclntyre who developed a small machine that used hot water and filter paper filters to produce espresso from ground beans; this machine became known as the McLntyre Coffee Machine due to its inventor'sMajor General James Mclntyre (1861-1945). This new form of espresso quickly gained popularity among soldiers stationed throughout the United States; however, it was not long before cafés began serving Tactical Coffee instead which contained less caffeine than regular Joe's Coffeehouse beverageseeleved at that time did not contain any sugar or artificial flavors like those found in most commercial items at that time! This changeover happened because during World War II people wanted something more nutritious than regular Joe's Java Stout which contained lots of sugar and other unhealthy additives! After the war ended many U.S.-based companies decided that they would no longer produce Combat Coffee but rather offer an all-natural version made with whole bean java beans only! At this time Poplar Bluff native Don Ritchie started his own company named Don't Tell Me What You Get When You Go Manufacturing Company which continues manufacturing high qualitycombat espresso until this day!

Poplar Bluff, Missouri is a small town in southern Missouri that was founded in 1836. The town is named for the poplar trees that were so common in the area that settlers decided to name it after the trees. The town has a population of about 1,500 residents and is located near the confluence of the Missouri River and the Arkansas River. Poplar Bluff was first populated by Native Americans and then by European settlers. In 1836, Sitgreaves County was organized, and Poplar Bluff became one of its towns. The town's first mayor was Elijah Butterfield. Butterfield laid out what is now Poplar Bliff on a bluff overlooking both rivers. He also built a courthouse and jail in nearby Decatur. In 1840, when parts of what are now Arkansas and Missouri were acquired by Kansas Territory, PoplarBluff became part of that territory. After Kansas Territory was admitted to the Union as Nebraska in 1861, PoplarBluff remained within Nebraska until 1890 when it switched to Iowa County within Kansas again. After Omaha came into existence in 1854,poplar bluff began becoming an important shipping point on the Great Lakes becauseof its location at the mouth of Deer Creek which connected those lakes with Lake Michigan
