The Nixa, Missouri Army National Guard has a long and proud history of giving back to the community. From donating equipment and supplies to blood drives, the Guard has donated countless hours and resources to support local organizations. Today, the Nixa Army National Guard continues its tradition of giving back with donations of military products. In 2017, the Guard donated over $5,000 in items including trucks, armored cars and more. This year, they are continuing their support by donation of uniforms and accessories. The Guard is grateful for all of the donations that have been made in recent years and looks forward to continued support from our community partners!

Nixa, Missouri is a small town located in the Ozarks region of Missouri. The population was 954 at the 2010 census. The Nixa-Clearwater School District has six elementary schools and two high schools. The town was founded in 1879 by George Kipple and his wife Clara. In 1916, the community developed its own electric power plant which provided electricity for all of Nixa until 1978. Nixa is located about 20 miles northwest of Springfield, Mo., on U.S. Route 412 and Interstate 44. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2 square miles (5 km²). As of the census of 2000, there were 1,041 people, 431 households, and 311 families residing in the town. The population density was 46 people per square mile (18/km²). There were 514 housing units at an average density of 25 per square mile (10/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98% White; 0% African American; 0% Native American; and 1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1%of the population

In recent years, Nixa has experienced growth as a bedroom community for nearby Springfield. The population of Nixa was 3,534 at the 2000 census. As of the 2010 census, its population had grown to 6,827. The largest employer in Nixa is local government; local governments make up about one-third of the workforce. Other major employers include Monsanto Company and PepsiCo LLC., both based in Springfield. Nixa is home to several churches including First Baptist Church (founded 1886), Second Baptist Church (1892), Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (1901), United Methodist Churches (1945), and Hillsdale Presbyterian Church (1981). There are also several schools: Community Christian School (founded 1907), Heritage Christian School (opened 2006), Old Time Community School (#2 opened 1984), Kansas City Country Day School #1 (#2 open 1966) , and Valley View Elementary School (@ Valley View Middle).
Nixa, Missouri is a city in south-central Missouri on the White River. The population was 5,812 at the 2010 census. It is home to Nixa Regional Airport and the Nixa Agricultural Center. The town was founded in 1849 by General John C. Frémont as part of what would become Kansas Territory. In 1852, Nixa became a county seat of Clay County when it was formed from parts of Ripley and St Francois counties. In 1870, Nixa became an independent municipality when it joined the Uniontown–Nixa Railway company. In 1904, it became an incorporated city under the name of Nixa after its incorporation into the Uniontown–Nixon Township system of government. It reverted to its original name in 1912 when it merged with neighboring Uniontown to form one municipality again under that name. The agricultural center of Nixie Valley has been located in central or eastern Nixie Valley for over 100 years and has been responsible for much of the growth and development within this area both economically and politically. The center's main product is corn but other products include soybeans, wheat, hay, fruits and vegetables as well as lumber which has been used for various buildings in town since before there were any roads or buildings in town!
