The first Tactical Coffee was made in 1976 by Barry McGee in Mesa, Arizona. It was a blend of French press and drip coffee. The company grew quickly and began selling their own equipment, including presses, grinders, and brewers. In 1980, they opened their first store in Scotts Valley, California. In 1987 they moved to San Diego, California.
When the Lewis and Clark Expedition passed through Missouri in 1804, they were followed by other travelers. One of these was Maryville's first settler, Major John C. Frémont. He had been traveling to the Rocky Mountains and decided to stop in Missouri on his way home. On July 4, 1805, he founded a small village called Maryville on the banks of the Kansas River. Over time, many more people moved into this small town and it grew gradually into what it is today. Maryville has a rich history that can be traced back to its earliest days. It was part of the Shawnee Nation until 1785 when they ceded their land to France. The French built a fort here in 1813 and named it Fort Henry after General James Kansa, who had helped lead Indian Wars against the British Empire. In 1823, Fort Henry was renamed Fort Leavenworth after President Andrew Johnson because of its strategic location at the crossroads of several states. The town continued to grow as businesses sprang up around it catering to farmers and traders who traveled through Missouri on their way to meet with friends or sell goods from their farms or businesses in other states. The growth also led to an increase in population and infrastructure; for example, Maryville had its own schoolhouse by 1830! By 1850, Maryville had reached its current size with over 1,500 residents! There were two major reasons for this growth: First, there was an increasing demand for goods and services brought about by traffic on the newly opened Kansas River becoming available due to advancements in transportation technology such as railroad construction; second, people wanted a place where they could raise their families without fear of being displaced by advancing civilization! As development continued throughoutMaryville's years as a small townspeople did whatever they could get away with in order to maintain their lifestyle while still keeping up with changing times- many examples can be found within our municipal government which is presided over by city officials answerable only to City Council members! Although some residents voted against annexation into Kansas City during certain periods (e.g., during World War II), overall sentiment throughout most of my research indicated that annexed area would have only benefited downtown KC whereas most residents felt comfortable living close enoughto commute but not so close that qualityof life deteriorated significantly
The Maryville Massacre took place on November 14, 1864, when Confederate soldiers killed nine Union civilians, including six women and one child. The massacre has been called the deadliest in the Civil War.
