The Air Force is one of the United States' largest and most important military forces. The USAF has an extensive history dating back to World War II, when it was known as the American Forces in Europe (AFCE). In 1987, the USAF merged with the Marines to create the US Marine Corps. In 2000, the USAF became component of NATO. Today, the USAF employs more than 200,000 people across 35 countries. Air Force gift history began during World War II whenAAFEE was established in order to provide support for American troops fighting in Europe. At its peak in 1945, AFEE consisted of over 2 million individuals divided into 161 armed service branches and units. From 1947-1948, AFEE operated out of Omaha Naval Air Station (ONAS) on Nebraska's eastern border with Iowa City. After World War II ended, AFEE was disbanded and its assets were reassigned to other commands within Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). However, AFEE's legacy continued to be felt through subsequent incarnations including subordinate commands such as Unified Military Command for Europe which oversaw all Allied air forces stationed there; Continental Air Forces which controlled fighter aircraft based out of continental United States airports; each branch's own air detachment commander responsible for assigned airspace; and Headquarters UMCFE which managed all RAF activities on behalf of JCS commanders throughout Europe. In 1987 AFCE was reborn as United States European Command under Secretary Donald Rumsfeld as a result of Congress' decision not to renew Title 10 after President Reagan's re-election victory that year. Marshall, Missouri is a town in Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. The name of the town comes from General James Marshall who fought in the American Civil War. The first settlement in what is now Marshall was made on May 7, 1833 by settlers George and Sally York while they were traveling through the area on their way to Little Rock. They named their new community after General James Marshall who had fought in the war previous year. The town began to grow quickly and by 1840 it had a population of 350 people. By 1845, Marshall had become an important center for trade because of its location at the junction of two major trails that led to Illinois and Arkansas. In 1849, Marshall became the seat of government for Jefferson County when it was created from part of Randolph County. During the years following World War II there was a large-scale military buildup in Missouri due to the Cold War efforts of both Russia and America. As a result, many businesses closed and people lost their jobs; however, Marshal never saw any significant economic decline as a result of these events. Instead, during this time period local businesses started to reopen and begin growing again thanks to Main Street initiatives spearheaded by Mayor John Whitehurst. Today's economy is based largely on agriculture with a small amount involved in manufacturing; however, there are still some local businesses that thrive thanks to Main Street initiatives such as Jeffco Growers Market which has been open since 1978 and offers local produce at prices that make it affordable for everyone
The United States Air Force (USAF) is one of the most important and prestigious organizations in the world. It has a rich history that dates back to World War I. The USAF was founded on July 26, 1947, as the Fifth Aero Division of the American Forces in Europe (AFCE). During World War II, it was known as the 4th Bombardment Wing. After the war, USAAF became an independent service with its own headquarters and flew military aircraft from bases all over America. One of these bases was RAF Lakenheath in England. In 1951, USAF First Lieutenant General Curtis LeMay made a proposal for creating a separate air force dedicated to strategic bombardment of targets inside China or any other foreign country. This proposed organization would become what we know today as the United States Air Force (USAF). On September 14, 1951, General LeMay presented his proposal to President Harry Truman at Camp David in Maryland. The USAF was created! Throughout its history, the USAF has been very responsible for certain aspects of our national security including homeland defense and many different types of air warfare operations worldwide. Some famous members of the USAF include: Dwight Eisenhower (Ulysses S Grant), John F Kennedy (John F Kennedy), Lyndon Johnson (Lyndon Johnson), Richard Nixon (Richard Nixon), George H W Bush Sr. (George H W Bush Sr.), and Barack Obama (Barack Obama).

Marshall is a small town in southeastern Missouri, United States. The population was 7,023 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield-Springfield–Harrison County, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1839 by John Marshall and his band of Cavalrymen who had just come from a military expedition against the Osage Indians. The first settler in Marshall was Elijah White. A post office was established at Marshall in 1841, and mail service from St Louis arrived here for the first time on July 9, 1842. In 1851, three years after the town's incorporation, it became one of seventeen townships within Clay County when that county was created from parts of Fordewey and Caldwell Counties. In 1861, during the American Civil War (1861-1865), Marshal's role as an early Confederate stronghold can be seen when its Unionist residents helped to form a local militia detachment known as "The Iron Brigade" to resist Union forces advancing through their territory on April 14th. The brigade eventually participated in many battles throughout Missouri before disbanding near Cairo on May 1st 1865 following some successes against Union troops but losses at Pittsburg Landing and Vicksburg which led General Ulysses S Grant to order their disbandment effective June 6th 1865. After the war ended, Marshal slowly regained its former prosperity with several new businesses opening up such as a grocery store and bank in 1903; two churches opened in 1906; and a school district was set up in 1909/10 followed by another school district (1914) which included all of eastern Phelps County until it merged into the newly formed Springfield-Springfield-Harrison County School District in 1971/72). The last new business to open up here until 2004 was an auto dealership called Jiffy Lube which closed down after six months due to economic hard times back then being one of few small businesses open during those difficult times for both local businesses and rural areas across America overall during that time period outside of recession periods like this one).
Marshall was named for General James K. Marshall, a hero of the American Civil War and one of the most famous generals in history. The city was founded in 1851 by General Marshall and his wife, Julia Pomeroy Marshall. It grew rapidly during the early 1800s as a center for cotton culture and commerce. By 1865, it had reached its peak as an important slave-holding town with over 100,000 residents. However, after the war ended, Marshall declined to become a Confederate state and lost its status as an important slave-holding center. In the 20th century, Marshall became an important economic center with heavy industry including factories that manufactured military vehicles and computers.
