As any coffee lover know, there is a lot of history associated with artisan coffee. This is especially true in the city of Lee's Summit, where the coffee industry began to grow rapidly in the early 1800s. The town was founded by John Lee in 1811, and quickly became an important center for trade and commerce. Over time, Lee's businesses grew into what are today known as iconic Coffee shops such as The Peet's or Dutch Bros. In 1907, Dutch Bros. merged with two other businesses to form Roemer & Van der Velde Coffee Company. Roemer & Van der Velde continued to produce high-quality artisan coffee until their bankruptcy in 1955. However, this didn't mean that the business was dormant; instead, it continued to be run by three generations of family members until it was sold to Swiss businessman Rudolf Steiner in 1978. Steiner turned Roemer & Vander Velde into one of Switzerland's leading espresso and roasting companies. Today, many of Roemer & VanderVelde's legacy products can still be found throughout Missouri – from their popular Breakfast Blend cafes all the way up to their more esoteric blends like Specialty Espresso (which falls under the umbrella of "premium" beans). In fact, even though Swiss businessman Rudolf Steiner no longer runs the company (he passed away in 1987), his impact on artisan coffee remains strong: His nameakes - such as Rheingold Koffee - continue to provide unique flavors and textures to Missourians' morning ritual.

The first coffeehouses in Lee's Summit were established in 1871 by Nicholas Combs and his brother-in-law, John Andrews. They served a small but select clientele of farmers and entrepreneurs. The first coffeehouse was destroyed by fire in 1872, but the Combs brothers rebuilt it. In 1889, they opened the first grocery store in town. In 1912, they added a restaurant named the Gilded Cage which became known for its gourmet cuisine. In 1916, they founded the First National Bank of Lee's Summit which remains active today. The coffeehouses continued to serve as venues for local music and poetry readings until 1977 when they closed their doors permanently due to economic recession.
Lee's Summit is a town in Carbon County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Lee's Summit were fur traders in 1795-96. In 1821, a group of Mormons arrived and founded the city of Ogden in what is now Carbon County. A post office was established at Lee's Summit on November 6, 1824, and remained open until it was discontinued on May 9, 1865. In 1836, the Lewis and Clark Expedition traveled through Carbondale Township and halted at Lee's Summit for dinner on November 10th before continuing their survey of the Great Western Trail. On July 8th 1861 General James Custer led his 5th Cavalry Regiment (later known as the 7th Cavalry Regiment) into battle against Crazy Horse and his Cheyenne Sioux Tribe near present-day Elk Valley outside present day Fort Riley; victory resulted in Custer’s death immediately afterwards from wounds received during this engagement. After this event some settlers moved to nearby Independence to escape Indian attack but most chose to stay put due to lack of other opportunities for exploration or farming around them. By 1870 there were only 44 residents living in Lee’s Summit with an average size family of 4 people per household consisting mostly of farmers who raised corn and beans while also raising sheep and hogs. By 1880 there were over 1,000 residents living in Lee’s Summit with an average family size of 8 people per household although by 1900 it had decreased to just under 500 residents with an average family size of 4 people per household againmainly composed mostly of farmers who raised corn and beans while also raising sheep and hogs during that time period as well as one small business which did a little manufacturing here and there when demand warranted it such as when new railroad tracks were built through town between 1901-1905 or when a new water tower was built near the edge of town after decades worth efforts by local citizens including naming one street after each man who had contributed financially or physically to its construction including two streets named “George Washington Street” after both George Washington himself & James Kapp (founder/president/CEO/chief executive officer Kansas City Star Newspaper Company) . Overall since 1800 about 95% all growth within Carbondale Township occurred inside then limits bounded by Sangamon River on north & east side; east side extending south past current buildings towards Sangamon River & west side encompassing today lot next door - making total area 2 acres more than what has been currently developed herein since early 1800s despite claims made by some Revisionist historians claiming otherwise given certain historical context not available upon initial research .. This means that contrary Claims made by some revisionist historians such as Drudge Report article entitled " 88 Historic Sites Shown Linked To Carbondale Township" they may have erroneously identified only 39 historic sites within boundaries shown therein instead thereof being actual total amount located within boundaries thereby misrepresenting entire township rather than any single location therein .. So much for tryingTo Exact What Actually Happened! It wasn't until 1830 that railroads reached Carbondale Township so development didn't really occur until later; however many early settlers did come from nearby Independence where transportation was easier so few came from Carbondale Township originally
There is no single account of the history of artisan coffee. In fact, there are many different sources that mention coffee and its production in a variety of ways. However, one primary source for information on the production and consumption of artisan coffee is the booklet, "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: A History." This booklet was written by J.B. Priestley and published in 1912. The book contains detailed accounts of coffee cultivation, trade, and industry in early America. In 1865, Nicholas-Jacques Conte founded the first espresso house in Paris. At first, Conte made his coffee using beans from India and Africa. However, over time he began to use beans from Ethiopia and Italy because these regions had better soils for espresso growth than Europe did. Eventually, all of European Union's major markets received good quality Ethiopian coffee from Conte's cafes. At about this time (1868), Luigi Bezzera started producing Italian-style espresso in Milan at a shop called La Caffè delle Arti (The Coffee House of Arts). Bezzera used premiums from his shops to finance his experiments with new technologies such as water heating and donkey roasting which produced a higher quality cup of espresso than any other method then available at that time. By 1892 Luigi Bezzera had opened a second location called Il Bicchiere d'Oro (the Golden Cup) which became an important center for Italian American culture throughout the 20th century due to its proximity to New York City and its role as a broker between Italy's business community and American businessmenpriests who supplied Italian immigrants with goods essential to their lives - such as foodstuffs, clothing, appliances...etc.). The popularity of Il Bicchiere d'Oro eventually led to it becoming one of the most well known tourist destinations in Italy

Lee Summit is a small town in the Lehigh Valley region of southwestern Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Philadelphia-area metropolitan area and was named for General Robert E. Lee, who fought in the American Civil War. The population was 9,531 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in what would become Lee Summit was George Washington Carver, who arrived there on a group of traders in 1837. Carver built a cabin and founded the village of Carver's Station on the Allegheny River near present-day Haverford Township. He also developed a successful slave trade with Africa and sold his slaves to various parts of North America. In 1848, General James K. Polk ordered US volunteers to march southward from Stroudsburg to put down an insurrection by local white farmers against state government control over their lands and resources. Missouri General Sterling Price joined forces with Confederate forces marching through Lee Summit under orders from Polk to drive the Volunteers out. On October 16, 1849, Price discovered that about 1,500 Union soldiers had camped nearby undefended; he ordered them back into position before withdrawing his force back into Missouri without engaging the Rebels. When asked about this move later by historian Samuel PivenHowe, Price replied that "the decision as to whether or not we should fight [the Rebels] lay within our own breasts." During World War II many businesses were located here including Ford Motor Company which built its plants here between 1944 and 1945; it moved out after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor killing more than 60% of all manufacturing jobs in Pennsylvania during those years (although other companies such as Bethlehem Steel survived). After 1945 most production took place elsewhere until 1974 when GM announced their plans to close four factories in Allentown-Wilkes-Barre-Hazleton County - one each at Sparrows Point Naval Shipyard (1944), Erie County Airport (1945), Allentown industrial park (1949) and Clairton Workshops (1951). That year also saw Chrysler Corporation establish their world headquarters here – they moved into One Lincoln Plaza following World War II but left after corporate consolidation began throughout America due to developing technologies like plastics/chemicals/devices etc., which led to huge job losses among blue collar workers everywhere during that time period as Automobiles became increasingly automated while profits soared for CEOs & Owners!
