The United States Air Force has a long and proud history of gift giving. The Air Force Gift History Museum in Gladstone, Missouri preserves and displays the many gifts that have been given to the service by civilians and military members. The museum is open every day from 9am to 4pm. It contains a wide variety of items related to USAF gifts, including clothing, tools, equipment, vehicles, mementos and more. The Missouri Air National Guard's 191st Fighter Squadron was established on 1 May 1942 at Gladstone Municipal Airport. The squadron was converted to the F-5E Phantom II in 1948 and activated at Melrose Army Air Field, Illinois. It moved to Randolph AFB, Texas in 1951 and became part of the 4th Fighter Wing. In 1957 it became a Tactical Fighter Wing and moved back to Randolph AFB, becoming an F-104A Starfighter fighter squadron. The wing was redesignated as the 5th Tactical Fighter Wing in 1991 and again as the 191st Fighter Squadron in 1992. The unit is currently stationed at RAF Fairford, England as part of 3rd Bombardment Wing (Intelligence).
Gladstone, Missouri is a small town in Warren County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. Gladstone is part of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The first settler in Gladstone was John Armstrong who arrived in 1821. He built a cabin on what is now Main Street and named it Armstrong's Landing. Other early settlers included James Craddock and his family, who came from Kentucky in 1827; Peter Price and his family, who came from Decatur County, Illinois in 1830; John Pemberton and his family, who arrived from Virginia in 1836; and James Hargrave with his cattle and wagon train arriving on July 6th 1840. By 1856 there were 11 businesses operating in Gladstone with an average of 10 employees each. In 1865 the railroad was built through Gladstone connecting St. Louis with Hannibal (now Peoria) MO via Springfield MO. This created an immediate need for housing as local residents began to move away to make room for the new development along the tracks. In 1870 alone over 200 homes were erected along what is now Business Street (later renamed Main Street). The community rapidly expanded during the late 19th century as more people moved into Gladstone to find land or start their own businesses: by 1900 there were 350 families living in Gladston

Gladstone, Missouri is a small town located in eastern Kansas County, Missouri. The population was 566 at the 2000 census. Gladstone was founded by John and Anna Gladstone in 1839. It became a city in 1906. The current Mayor of Gladstone is Linda Sawaya. The town began as a trading post on the Santa Fe Trail between Independence and Topeka. It developed into an agricultural community due to its fertile soils, access to rivers for irrigation, and proximity to railroads. In 1867, the Kansas-Nebraska Act created a new state of Missouri and removed most of the easternKansas County from Kansas to make room for it within Missouri. As part of this process, much land around Gladstone was taken away for farming purposes or given to other towns in southeastern Kansas County as part of the Compromise of 1868 which ended the Civil War. In 1907, when Kansas City served as both the state capital and home to many businesses and people who made their living there (including many bankers), Mayor Sawaya decided that it would be more convenient for her office if she moved her staff into downtown KC rather than keep them scattered throughout various buildings throughout town square like they were in older times when KC had barely started expanding beyond its original borders since it was only established as an Indian Territory less than 10 years earlier! She quickly gathered together all her senior staff – secretaries, data entry clerks etc – inside one large building on Main Street until finally moving out again after just 4 years when KC officially became a city! It’s interesting to note that even though KC has mushroomed over time with more business districts popping up all over metro area but no realignment of streets or consolidation of multiple buildings like happened back then outside tight limits imposed by legislators during very difficult times; not one letter about it has been found on any website associated with Gladstone except maybe municipal websites which are outdated anyways; so I guess we can say that “Gladstonians” pretty much forgot all about us until somebody remembered us long ago! 😉 As far as weather goes things have always been pretty consistent here year round although there have been some really nasty cold winters where temps plummet below 20 degrees centigrade overnight while snow falls daily leading up to Christmas often lasting several weeks combined & sometimes quite severe droughts followed by excessive rainfall/ flooding especially during summer months (see related article: http://www2.coxcom/~kmcdonald/gadgetry/gradschool_1910s/) John and Anna Gladstone arrived in 1839 from Kentucky with their two children: John H., age 8 years old (born October 3rd) and Anna P., age 6 years old (born December 15th). They erected a log cabin near what is now known as "Old Town" on what is now US Route 66 east of present day East Side Road. From this location they watched events unfold around them including settlers arriving from Independence westward across the Santa Fe Trail - soon he saw numerous wagonloads carrying goods downriver each week heading southbound towards Independence along today's Old Town Road before returning northbound laden with fresh produce back up river each week evening! Mrs. Gladestone cooked meals over an open fire using materials available at their location including wood from nearby hillsides & driftwood collected downstream from nearby creeks according to local legend . Over time additional buildings were built overlooking Sections 12 & 13 south off US Highway 66 east side road which formed what is now known as "New Town". This section later became known as "Old Town". A post office operated here until 1893 when rural telegraph lines extended further into KS county creating need for another postal facility closer to residents instead . When first laid out grid squares lots bordering sections 12&13 were assigned according To Township boundaries but due gaps opened up These Lots could be used By different Persons Facing Different Parts OfTownship And So They Became Known As "Northeast Section", "Southwest Section" ect...
