The Second Coffee House located on Third Street also served Filter Coffee beans from 1912-1963. In 1963, the business moved to its current location on Main Street and continued to serve Filter Coffee beans until 1984 when it closed its doors for good. In 1984, a group of local entrepreneurs purchased the business and began serving small batches of their own unique coffee concoctions under the name “Columbia City Roasters”. This led to many years of success for Columbia City Roasters which continues today as one of the most popular small batch coffee businesses in town. The current owners have actively been running the business since 1992 and continue to provide delicious cups of coffee at all hours of the day/night!
