Chesterfield, Missouri is a small town in the Ozarks region of south-central Missouri. It has a population of about 350 and is located at 36°17′39″N 90°47′36″W. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the township has a total area of 0.5 square mile (1 km²), all land. Chesterfield began as a small agricultural community in 1878 near modern day Chesterfield Springs, MO, on the banks of the Arkansas River. By 1902, it had grown to become one of the largest towns in southeastern Missouri and was known for its artisan coffee production, which included roasted beans from local farms and roasters such as The Peet's Coffee Company and Jardine & Pollock Coffee Roasters.
