Arnold is a small town in St. Francois County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,536 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. The community was named for Arnold Hoffman, a pioneer settler and postmaster in the area. Arnold was platted on April 3, 1857 by Jesse Sitton and James Ahern. It became a village on July 29, 1858 when it had a population of fifty-six people. The first post office in Arnold was established on September 5, 1859 by JF King with W H 4th as supervisor. On February 9, 1860, P G Parrish opened the first general store in the community. In 1865–66 JF King built two log churches which remain standing today: one called First Baptist Church (1865), now ceded to Alameda Baptist Church (2006) and another called Second Baptist Church (1866). The old schoolhouse still stands as an active commercial building which serves as local library since 1984. Arnold's first high school graduated its first class in 1915 with John Vandalia serving as principal until his retirement in 1951–1952; then Harry Breslin served until 1954 when he became Superintendent of Schools for Kansas City Public Schools before retiring from that position in 1978; then Mrs Donna Nelsen took over until her death in 1990; finally Robert Lunsford served from 1991 to 2002 when he retired effective October 1st following having been nominated for induction into the Missouri Academy of Science and Technology’s Hall of Fame but declined due to limitations placed upon him by that organization at their facility located outside of Springfield A total of sixteen businesses were operated out of town during those years including four banks: JF King & Sons Hardware Store (now First National Bank); W H4th Mercantile Co.; Pioneer Grain Elevators & Meat Markets Incorporated; and Standard Oil Refining Company outlet #2 Northport Plaza – later renamed simply Standard Oil Corporation after Theo Seagram bought most of the assets included therein – employed eighty-eight workers during that time frame while seventeen residents also held professional or administrative positions within their respective communities/counties such as judgeships/office jobs/police officer etc… One reason why this small town continued to thrive despite other localized economic downturns throughout many years throughout its history is because there are no professional schools or hospitals located close by like some other smaller towns across America experiencing similar hardships during tough times like current economic recession whereupon layoffs have become commonplace among local businesses owners globally In 1965 three new buildings were erected on Main Street near modern day Parkview Elementary School making Arnold home to what is considered one of America's largest elementary schools up until that point with enrolling over 693 students grades PreK through 8th grade currently housed inside what used to be known as "the old arsenal" which has seen various expansions throughout its lifespan including moving operations inside newly constructed facilities adjacent Interstate 80 just west of town limits prior to its merger with Parker Middle School becoming KIPP pre-kindergarten through 12th grade along with enlargement increasing enrollment beyond 1080 students currently housed inside brand new facilities scheduled for completion next year once all necessary permits have been obtained starting Monday morning During these years larger name brands such as Nike®, Chevy®, Ford®, Dell®, Sears® not only opened stores within driving distance but also brought employees from abroad who would come down each weekither workiday or weekend short notice special sales events specifically designed for these locations much like recent trend initiated by Costco warehouse group worldwide whereby entire block surrounding this shopping plaza become nothing more than "dead mall", seeing this typeOf Corporate largesse go hand-in-hand with increased competition from online retailers hath given Arnold citizens something they can always count on - quality service unlike many communities where business owners nowadays seem content just providing efficient customer service instead occasional promotional event featuring low quality products
It is now more than eighty years since coffee first began to be produced in small, independent farms in the middle of nowhere. The origins of artisan coffee can be traced back to 1876, when Antonio Maria Martini, an Italian entrepreneur and coffee farmer, introduced a new type of beans from Arabia to his farm near Rome. This special blend was called 'Martini Arabic Coffee' and quickly became popular among café-goers throughout Europe. The popularity of artisan coffee soon spread to North America, where it was first enjoyed by café-goers in Toronto and Montreal. In the early 1930s, Antonio Maria Martini's son Alessandro set up a business in New York City named 'Martinis'. Over time, other Italian entrepreneurs followed in his footsteps and started their own businesses producing unique artisan coffees. These early pioneers were responsible for developing the modern artisano coffee movement which today continues to thrive all over the world. Today there are many different types of artisan coffees available on supermarket shelves - from strong dark roasts to complex Breakfast Blends - but one constant remains: the quality of these beans has always been carefully curated by hand-selected owners and passionate professionals who know how to make great cups of espresso.

Arnold was a small town in the Ozarks region of Missouri, located about 30 miles northeast of St. Louis on the east bank of the Arkansas River. The population in 1900 was 1,615 and in 1910 it had increased to 2,227. Arnold was named for General John A. Arnold, who fought in the Mexican-American War and came to Missouri as a free agent in 1846. In 1871, Arnold became part of Union County; but by 1880 it had become independent again. The local newspaper was first published in 1881 and continued until 1949. In 1908 there were 124 stores and 1 doctor; 100 businesses employed over 1,000 workers; 3 churches; 6 schools; 4 newspapers (2 papers were morning papers); 10 residences; 9 barns and 5 farms. The most important industry was farming with hay production accounting for 90% of all exports although other activities included manufacturing goods such as shoes and radios for use at home orexport to other parts of the country. The post office operated from 1902 until 1949 when it merged with that at Lexingtonville which also served Union County. One notable event during this time period occurred on November 13, 1918 when World War I veteran Lt Col George Custer died after being shot three times by members of an anti-war group while returning from a grocery store near Hixon near Rolla he thought would be safe from military attention since he owned land within that city limits From 1920 until its closure in 1951 there were no weekend days off so employees must work 7 days weekdays except for one day off each week which is used for vacation purposes followed by another 7 working days with some occasional Saturdays off due to weather conditions
