In addition to these businesses however, there were also several churches which helped fill the community with religious activity during this time period. Over time however, more businesses closed or moved out of town as competition increased from neighboring towns in Alabama and Tennessee which had similar features but cheaper prices for goods delivered to customers’ homes! Today much of what once made up downtownHernando is gone as well as most substantial portions of antique shops (located around Second Street), restaurants (around Third Street) and other commercial buildings dating back to pre-war days when education was important tozona residents who liked living close enought ot work at home without having kids running around unsupervised).
