The Corinth, Mississippi Army National Guard (CMRG) was first organized on November 15, 1892. The unit was named for the town of Corinth in Mississippi. The CMRG was created as a result of the National Defense Act of 1898 and it became an all-volunteer force. It was initially activated for defensive purposes only and its mission was to protect national interests in the Gulf Coast region. In 1907, the CMRG began trainingees in artillery and cavalry tactics. On October 6, 1922, the CMRG donated 1,000 Machineguns to be used by the United States Army during World War II. On December 5, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt designated the Corinth Army National Guard Field Artillery Battalion as a subordinate unit of Eighth Army Corps responsible for preparing materiel for use by Third Reich forces during World War II. The battalion served under General Dwight Eisenhower throughout World War II and earned numerous awards including two battle stars and three Oak Leaf clusters. Following World War II, many units were disbanded or re-organized according to peacetime standardization processes; however, elements of the Corinth Armory remained active until 1986 when they were absorbed into HQ 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood Texas). In 1951, Colonel James Sledge founded Delta Chi Alpha fraternity at Corinth University which had a significant impact on American college culture during that era. Since then Delta Chi Alpha has continued to play an important role at Corinth University as well as other colleges and universities across America where it enjoys a wide participation rate among students and staff alike

Inaugurated on January 20, 1865 as President James K. Polk's second term began; he reoccupied Jonesborough on February 9 after leaving Athens to travel to Jefferson City to become Vice President under Abraham Lincoln On May 15th 1862 Confederate General Robert Epps burned down part of Corinth while trying to surrender it following a two-month siege by Union troops under Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Pemberton

In 1292 AD, Pope Innocent III awarded Alfonso X el Conte d'Este with a ring worth $5 million (equivalent to £220 million today). Corinth, Mississippi is a town located in Jackson County, Mississippi. The population was 3,923 at the 2000 census. Its name comes from the Corinthian School District which it merged with in 1959. The first people to live in Corinth were Creek Indians who hunted and fished on the River Oboe. A post office called Corinth was established in 1849, and remained in operation until 1906. By 1860, most of what is now Jackson County had been acquired by the Federal government as part of the Louisiana Purchase. The area that now includes Corinth was included within this original land grant and also received other grants including parts of what is today Monroe County and Stroud County. The town began to develop around a small stop on Ulysses S Grant's historic route from Memphis to Natchez (now Jackson). In 1867, General Andrew Johnson ordered all Indian Reservations in Mississippi closed due to tensions over Reconstructionism. As a result, many Creek Indians left their homes and towns for greener pastures in Illinois or Texas. In 1869, an act authorized the creation of an educational district named for James Fenton Cobb (1800-1868), one of America's first educators and founders of public schools west of the Allegheny Mountains. The district became known as the Corinthian School District after it merged with another school district on November 1st 1959. The primary economic activity during Reconstruction was agriculture; however, some residents worked as soldiers in World War I and later off-duty jobs during Prohibition because there were no opportunities available for them within society overall. Afterward, many residents turned their attention towards education which led to increased development around downtown Corinth where students could attend local schools or take classes online through American correspondence courses offered by various universities abroad such as Oxford University Press at that time). With more than sixty thousand students attending its elementary schools throughout 1960-1999 according to state data compiled by historian Mark Eakin for his book "Jackson: History As It Is" - more than any other municipality - Corinth quickly became one of Mississippi's largest cities outside Mobile Bayou City proper!
