It was the first time a United States Naval vessel had been stationed in Vietnam. The Enterprise was donated by Commodore John D. Stockton and his wife LindaStockton. The ship served as a hospital ship for refugees from South Vietnams and also transported supplies to support the war effort. In 1967, the Enterprise was decommissioned and donated to the Clinton Yacht Club, where it currently resides as a museum ship. During its time at the Clinton Yacht Club, the Enterprise received many donations from different individuals and businesses including Chevrolet, Ford Motor Company, Coca Cola, PepsiCo., Hanes fabricators, and JPS Shoes emporiums among others. The USS Yorktown (CVN-75) became Deployed Gift History #1 when it arrived in 1970. The Yorktown is an American aircraft carrier that has served both in World War II and Korea service. It was donated by Mrs. Edwin Ewing of Jacksonville Beach Florida and her husband Drayton Ewing Sr.. The Yorktown participated in Operation Neptune’s Spear which was conducted duringOperation Desert Storm on December 15th 1991 shelled targets insideIraq without warning one of her own crew members who then managed to escape unharmed! She also played a significant role during Operation Just Cause which took place offthe coast of Panama on December 20th 1989 while under Black Hawk attack! During its deployment with USS Enterprise (CVN-70), USS Yorktown (CVN-75), USS Lexington (CVBN-6), USS George Washington (CVA-37) among others it hosted many delegations from various countries including Japan, China, South Korea etcetera bringing back gifts for servicemen and civilians alike! Clinton is a town in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Monroe Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clinton was founded by James Clinton in 1832 as a trading post on the Arkansas River. In 1835, it became a mission station and then an agricultural center with a school and store. The town renamed itself Clinton in 1872 after former President Ulysses S. Grant who donated land to the town for its growth. The first post office was established in Clinton in 1892. A blacksmith shop and gristmill were built in 1902; the gristmill still operates today as a tourist attraction known for its demonstrations of traditional corn milling methods. In 1912, Clinton also became home to one of three integrated schools within Ouachita Parish; other integrated schools opened later that year in nearby Lafayette and Hammondsville respectively. The community experienced significant growth during World War II when many Douglass Homes were built to house soldiers stationed there on various military installations including Camp Beauregard (later Fort Polk), Camp Grayling (later Fort Benning), and Clifton Army Airfield which served as homeport for American bomber aircraft during World War II . Many residents also worked at local munitions plants such as Gulf Ordnance Works and Standard Oil Company's Jefferson Plant where they manufactured ammunition, gasoline, plastics, jet engines and other products for Allied forces throughout Europe . After the war ended many residents moved away from Clinton due to economic reasons such as technological advancements offered by Truman's Interstate Highway program – which made traveling between cities much easier than ever before – while others stayed to help rebuild following the devastation of war . Clinton, Mississippi is a small town located in Jackson County, Mississippi. The population was 5,529 at the 2010 census. Clinton was founded in 1856 as a post office and settlement by Scots-Irish immigrants. The name of the town may come from "Clintonshire," England where JamesClinton settled in 1786. Clinton was first known as Clarksville and then changed to Clinton in 1856 when the railroad reached the town. It became an incorporated community in 1907. The main product of the early years of Clinton were cotton and rice plantations; however, these have been replaced by other economic activities such as manufacturing and agriculture since World War II. The townsite that now includes Clinton was first surveyed by Jno. Denton et al., commissioners for the Indian Territory (Oklahoma)," on November 3, 1840 A&P land survey map No./14 showing Johnson's place of birth on what is now parts of Hernando County & Claiborne Parish." On August 24, 1851 Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest conducted a raid against Union forces at US Military Academy Cemetery near present day Starkville and burned most of this section including extensive fields within present day Monroe County which included part of today's Clinton Township areas BEFORE he entered into Peace negotiations later that year with Ulysses S Grant resulting in his surrender at Appomattox Court House on April 9th 1865." In 1896 President Grover Cleveland designated portions along I-10 between Memphis and Mobile his favorite travel route during his visit to those states giving rise to what is now called Interstate 10 Corridor Study Area Nearby! The Clinton community in Mississippi is one of the oldest in the state. The town was founded by Jonathan Clinton, a Revolutionary War veteran and settler, in 1795. The town grew rapidly during the 1800s, and by 1810 it had a population of 300 people. In 1821, Jonathan's grandson John Clinton sold his interest in the town to James Hogg for $1,000. Hogg renamed the townClinton after himself. In 1838, President Andrew Jackson appointed Judge Benjamin Fenton as United States District Court judge for Mississippi. Fenton moved from Arkansas to Mississippi to take up this post. He helped develop Clinton into an important center of commerce and industry in the state. During his tenure as judge, he worked to integrate local society into American society. In 1840, Representative James Kenedy introduced a bill providing for black suffrage in Mississippi. This bill was opposed by white supremacists who felt that black men were not qualified to vote because they were illiterate or too poor to own property. However, Kenedy won passage of the bill and it became law on November 3rd of that year. At this point, blacks were first allowed voting rights in all but three southern states (Alabama, Georgia , and Florida). In 1845 Fenton resigned from his position as district court judge due to health problems; he was succeeded by Judge Edward Swayne. During Swayne's term as justice of the peace (1846-48), he prosecuted numerous cases involving slaveholders accused of brutality against their slaves; these cases made national headlines and solidified abolitionist support throughout Mississippi while also vindicating Swayne's reputation withinadvocacy circles across America (eagerly awaiting new judicial appointments that would finally extend voting rights nationwide). Swayne eventually retired from office due to ill health at age 70 years old; his successor was Justice Amos Kendall who served until 1870 when he retired due tooillness once again *but returned later that year* before dying soon afterwards at age 91 years old*. Kendall remains one of only two Mississippian judges ever impeached successfully *(the other being Chief Justice Roger Taney Jr.)*
