The United States Air Force has been deploying gift baskets to Brookhaven, Mississippi for many years now. The gift history of the AFB can be traced back to World War II when we deployed airmen and women in support of the war effort. Since then, the USAF has sent numerous gift baskets to our local community in Brookhaven. Some of these gifts have commemorated important military events or were simply thought up by AFB personnel. Below is a list of some of the most famous gift baskets that have been sent to Brookhaven over the years. In 1990, an airplane was donated by Boeing Company. This plane was used as a training platform for new pilots at Brookhaven Military Airport. The plane was also donated for use in research projects at the airport. In 2006, an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet was delivered to Brookhaven as a thank you for their support during Operation Neptune’s Spear against insurgents in Afghanistan. The jets were flown into service on September 1st and remain active today atBrookhaven Military Airport. In 2009, a large donation from Merrill Lynch allowed us to construct a new hangar at our airport which allows us to serve more customers with more convenience than ever before! Some other famousift basket donations include: - A Nike missile system in 1991 - A Ford Bronco car in 2006 - A Taurus SUV in 2007 - A Humvee HMMWV vehicle in 2008 In recent years, we have seen several additional donations arrive from businesses and individuals throughout the community of Brookhaven including: - An Apple computer in 2013 - A generator unit and trailer from Chrysler Corporation in 2014 - An iPad mini 2 from Apple Inc., distributed through Centurylink Wireless Services on October 3rd, 2014

Brookhaven is a town in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,980 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Jackson metropolitan area. Brookhaven is one of the oldest towns in Hancock County and was platted in 1821. The first post office in Brookhaven was established on December 20, 1827. The name of the town derived from two small brooks that flow through it – Brookhollow Creek and Brookside Creek. According to one account, early settlers named their creek after either Mount Rushmore or some other famous peak in Wyoming Territory. Brookhaven experienced rapid growth following its incorporation as a village on November 30, 1892. By 1900, the town had a population of 2,500 residents and by 1910 had reached 4,000 residents. The community's growth continued even after World War II when it reached 6,000 residents by 1945. In 1951 Brooks- hamlet merged with nearby Phenix City to form what is now called Phenix City-Brookhaven Township; however this merger did not result in any major changes to the demographics or functions of either community over time due to resistance from some local citizens who felt they were being taken advantage of by their new overlords
The United States Air Force Deployed Gift History is a special branch of the USAF which traces its origins back to World War II. It was during this time that the USAAF began sending gifts to allies and friends in order to show our support. This tradition continues today, with the Air Force Sending Christmas Greetings and other holiday gifts to countries all over the world. Some of the most famous gift recipients include General Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was given a complete set of generals' tools, as well as a two-seater plane; President John F Kennedy, who received an American Eagle watch; Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who received three sets of golf clubs; and Princess Anne of Great Britain, who received a gramophone player and books on history. The list goes on and on! There are many reasons why the USAAF has been so involved in gifting throughout history. One reason is because it shows our support for our Allies and friends - whether they are military or civilian counterparts. Additionally, gifting allows us to show our softer side by giving something away that we think may be helpful or necessary for someone else. Whether it's a new book about aircraft maintenance or just some socks, we try our best to give something thoughtful every year!

Brookhaven is a town in Hancock County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,954 at the 2010 census. Brookhaven is part of the Jackson, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Brookhaven was James Hinton who came to the area in 1848. In 1853, Isaac Hepler and his family moved from Illinois to what is now Hancock County and started farming. They named their farm "Hancock." In 1854-55, John Fenton built a sawmill on Big Creek which became known as Fenton's Mill because it produced flour for local merchants. In 1861, after Confederate forces sacked Corinth and burned all of that city's businesses including the brick courthouse and jail, many residents of Corinth decided to move away from Confederate territory fearing retribution. Many people in Brookhaven also decided to leave because they were fearful of possible Indian raids or worse should General Sherman cross the state line into Mississippi Territory without warning them. In 1865-66 when Union troops invaded southern Mississippi during the Civil War (the war between America’s northern states and the Confederacy), much of what is now Hancock County was under Union control including Brookhaven whereUnion soldiers burned barns and homes while looting supplies stored by Confederates across Big Creek Bridge near present day Brooksville. Later that year Union General Ulysses S Grant ordered Major General Nathaniel Banks to invade central Mississippi commandeering more than 2,000 trucksloads of foodstuffs destined for army camps north of Vicksburg so as not to provoke any Confederate retaliation against Grant’s larger army advancing through Tennessee towards Atlanta (the capital). When Federal cavalry reached Big Creek Bridge early on July 4th 1863 just upstream from present day Brooksville some stores along with personal belongings (including guns) belonging to local citizens were abandoned by their owners before being looted by Union troopers who then took whatever items they could carry off the bridge before turning back southward towards Corinth leaving behind an unfulfilled promise by President Abraham Lincoln that "all property seized within this State etc., shall be given over" to those affected thereby fulfilling one end of his August 1862 Executive Order No. 12981 called "An act concerning confiscated property." At least some items taken were probably sold or bartered off locally before reaching Corinth where they were finally delivered back home later that month according as part of a public auction conducted pursuant to order No 11758 entitled "Auction of Property Surrendered By negroes Who Have Served Out This Country During The Rebellion." Of note among those whose property was auctioned off are three slaves described as being worth $5US each when assessed in 1860: Anna Belle Hardwick; Martha Washington Carr; Solomon Northrup Jr.. All three slaves would eventually be freed following Reconstruction but Anna Belle Hardwick would remain enslaved until her death in 1901; Martha Washington Carr would become emancipated following her own emancipation in 1865; Solomon Northrup Jr.. would later marry Gertrude “Gussie” Woodruff heiress daughter/heiressof JnoPaille Woodruffand servein World War IIas an Unofficial American Volunteer officerwith Headquarters Squadron 75th Fighter Wing flying Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter aircraftin Europeor vice versa
Brookhaven was a small town located in central Mississippi. It was founded in 1892 by white men who purchased land from the Choctaw Nation. Brookhaven grew to become a small, agricultural community with a population of around 100 people. The town's primary industry was agriculture, and it also manufactured goods such as steamboats and whiskey.
