Some notable names include Peet's Coffee (which originated in Holland), Intelligentsia Coffee Company (founded by Stefan Zweig), Blue Bottle Coffee Co., and Four Barrel Coffee Co.. Blue Bottle Coffee started out as a single-origin roastery in Cambridge, MA. They later expanded their production to Berkeley, CA and now maintains two roasts per day. 2. Holy Roman Empire's first espresso house opened up in 1814 in Vienna, Austria. It was run by Italian immigrants who brought their own espresso machines with them when they arrived in Europe. 3. In 1967, Bob Newhart starred in an article about how he liked to drink his morning coffee at home using a French press. This led to the birth of "Bob Newhart's Coffee" which is still popular today. 4. The first American K-cup company was founded by Joshua Lasker in 2002 in Oakland, CA (now part of Starbucks). These days there are over 400 K-cup companies worldwide!

Waconia, Minnesota is a small town located in the Waconia County seat of Hastings. The population was 1,812 at the 2000 census. The community was founded in 1881 when pioneers arrived from Illinois. They named their settlement after Winona, the capital of Minnesota. In 1907, Waconia became an incorporated city and adopted a new name: "Waconia." It remains an unincorporated community today. The first post office in Waconia was established in 1881, and remained open until it closed on July 15, 1902. The last mail carrier to serve Waconia was Nellie Aiken on November 5, 1912. Today only Google Maps offers service for delivering mail to the community. In 1916, the United States Signal Service installed a telegraph line from Minneapolis to Waconia.
