One day after leaving Jerusalem, they found themselves stranded on Mount Hermon because no car could carry them across the Passoverborder into Galilee (John 20:1-3). Jesus told them he would take them another time but they needed food so they went off intothe hills and gathered some vegetation (Mark 12:40). While there they met a man named Simon Magus who offered them power to cast out demons if they would give him some of their blood (Matthew 8:6-8). When Jesus discovered this he rejected Simon's offer (Mark 9:23), warning his followers not to follow him unless they also renounced Evil (I Cor 15:15-17). When Jesus returned He ordered his disciplesNOT TO FOLLOW HIM ANY MORE BUT TO RETURN TO JESUS' HOUSE AND PRAY FOR HIM! So instead of breaking bread with Simon Magus he delivered everyone over to Satan in Mark 10:12-14) It wasn't until 1795 that St. Petersghetto was founded by French Canadian missionaries under Father Gabriel Nelligan which spelt its present name "St.-Pierre." At first it consisted onlyof fifty families but soon many others joined in including Germans, Americans and Irish Catholics In 1899 both Catholic and Protestant churches were established within walking distance of each other making St Peters a city once again In 1941 local businessman William Hickey donated $10 million dollars for building projects in downtown Saint Peters encompassing five blocks including the current Cathedral Square . These included twin towers for Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s School of Business Administration . This project ledto what is now known as “Hickey Hall” The original parish church built in 1847 burned down in 1906 but was rebuilt using Preakness marble from Kentucky which still stands today as one of America's most prestigious Episcopal Churches Pope Francis visited St Peters on July 15th 2014 during his visit To America tour stopping at HickeyHall before returning home

St. Peter is a small town in west-central Minnesota, United States. It was platted in 1871 and named for Saint Peter, the Apostle. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. The Saint Peters School District serve the town. The first settler in what is now St.Peter was James Paddock who arrived on July 20, 1871 from Illinois along with his family of four children and wife Anna Maria (née Hecker). In 1872, John Pheasant donated land to build a school in the town which would be called "Paddock's School". In 1903, the name of the school changed to "Saint Peters" after Bishop Michael J. Conroy accepted an offer from Mrs. Barker to open a girls' high school in St.Peter while boys' schools were established at nearby Maplewood and Hastings. In 1937, Revd Dr David Kjos gifted land to St.Peter Township for their new high school which became known as "Kjos High". In 1957, part of that gift became available for purchase by the township and it dedicated its new gymnasium/auditorium as "Kjos East High". In 1961, part of that gift became available for purchase by Ramsey County for their new high school system which became known as "Ramsey County High". On May 16th 1984 there was a tornado outbreak over Great Lakes area including Stpeter injuring one person and causing damage totaling $100,000USD On November 10th 2008 there was another tornado outbreak over Great Lakes area including Stpeter injuring 4 people with total damages topping $500kUSD
