The cornerstone for the new church was laid on February 6th, 1852 by Bishop George Mueller with Revs. Henry Herrick and David Lange officiating at that ceremony along with many other local residents including Mrs. Anna Buhl’s brother-in-law Drury Hennepin who served as treasurer for that period of time! In 1863, Reverend James Aiken became pastor of thischurchand later led it until his death in 1925! During his time as pastor, he also established numerous charities and grants throughout our city including support for educational institutions such as Stroudsburg Academy & Highland Park School (now North Central High School), First Christian Church (now First United Methodist Church), Blessed Sacrament Parish (later Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church), Sacred Heart Parish (later Sacred Heart Catholic Church), Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish (later Our Lady Of Lourdes Cathedral) among others! Additionally during his tenure as pastor we saw growth in music programs within our churches which continue today at both Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church & First United MethodistChurch under Pastor John Weibel! In addition to our parish churches there are also several smaller congregations scattered throughout our city including: Holy Cross Ukrainian OrthodoxChurch; German ReformedChurch; American Baptist Churches - Minneapolis/St Paul; Episcopal Diocese Of Twin Cities; African Methodist Episcopal Zionchurch& More! These denominations offer different styles of worship but all share one common goal – to make discipleship available through devotionals and service! St. Michael is a small, unincorporated community in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located on the north bank of the Minnesota River upstream from Minneapolis. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and lies within the Saint Anthony Falls National Lakeshore. The name St. Michael may come from German settlers who named their settlement after a Archangel of heaven known to them as "Michael". One account says that when they first came to this area they saw an angel sitting on a rock just outside their town limits; so they named their settlement after him. In 1881, two brothers built a log church at what is now the Heart of Michael Baptist Church in St. Michael and it became one of the few places where Methodists could preach without fear of violence or retribution from other denominations nearby. In 1915, both banks along the river were destroyed by fire and rebuilt with local lumber yards taking over some construction work while other activities such as farming continued apace; thus continuing Bishop John Hickey's vision for St. Michael which called for closedowns during times of famine while also providing new businesses with space to thrive in an ever-changing economy environment Today there are still many agricultural operations and light industrial uses mixed with some residences; but most people here are affiliated with local churches or organizations like Lutheran Pastor Preacher John Wiegandt’s ministry working together to provide social services such as food pantries and soup kitchens during times of need or crisis

The name given to our modern day city of Minneapolis-St. Paul is also inspired by this ancient Christian community: "Michael" means "place where I am going." Today, there are over 1,000 residents living at Saint Michael's Dormitories and we continue to be an active faith community with services that include worship and education opportunities for our children and grandchildren!
