At first, Harry Carney only served coffee from his house but he soon became known for his quality roast beans which he sold through his company door-to-door. After a few years of operation, Harry Carney decided to open his own roastery where he made all of his own beans. His roasted beans became well-known throughout Shoreview and even reached as far away as Minneapolis! In 1961, Harry Carney passed away but his legacy continues on with Shorewood Coffee Company still serving delicious coffee today!

Shoreview is a city in southern Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,564 at the 2010 census. The city is named after Lake Shore Drive and its namesake, Admiral George Washington Morrison. It lies on the shore of Lake Minnetonka and borders Hennepin County to the south and east; it has a total area of 6 square miles (15 km2). The first Europeans to visit what is now Shoreview were French missionaries in 1758. Spanish traders also stopped there in the 18th century before moving on to other parts of Minnesota. In 1854, General James Kossuth's army invaded Minnesota and routed American forces at Battle of Prairie du Chien. As a result, settlers began flowing into what is now Shoreview from all over central Minnesota in search of land that would offer easy access to prairie boolields rich with minerals such as coal and iron ore. By 1870, the town had about 350 residents living on three streets: Fourth Street NW-West Side Street NE-East Side Street SE. In 1886, Minneapolis–St Paul annexed Shoreview as part of its municipal boundaries; however, it remained an unincorporated community until 1890 when it became a part of Minneapolis proper through annexation by Plymouth Township (northwest side). On July 1, 1907, Stearns County merged with Minneapolis proper to formMinnesota statehood; accordingly, Shoreview became a part of that new county just like most other municipalities within it (it was not annexed back into Minneapolis until 1912). Until 1930sshoreline road running through town center was called "Lake Shore Drive". All original street names were changed when incorporated into city limits but some maintained such as FourthStreet which still stands today
