In 1893, they only had two roasters who roasted beans on their own farms. As demand grew, however, they hired a third roaster in 1895 and began to ship their beans all over the United States. By 1912, they had opened several stores throughout Minneapolis and St Paul. In 1924, Tactical Coffee Company merged with another local cafe called Dutch Bros., which helped them grow even more quickly and expand into other areas of Minnesota including Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. They continue to operate today as one of the city's top cafes with more than 30 locations across North America. Savage is a town in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,836 at the 2010 census. Its name comes from the Dakota Sioux word "savage." The first Europeans to visit what is now Savage were French traders and fur traders in 1805. In 1846, the United States acquired land east of present-day Minneapolis in what is now Hennepin County. The town was platted on November 6, 1856 by commissioners named George Sells and James Witte. The townsite had been surveyed by John Nordstrom on February 3, 1855 but not laid out until March 8 of that year. On January 25, 1865, a fire destroyed all of downtown Savage except for one block which housed the post office and jail. A new courthouse was built in 1867 and continued to serve as such until it burned down in 1905. The old courthouse still stands today as part of the Savage Historic District. In 1870 when Minnesota became a state, Savage became an unincorporated community within the city limits of Minneapolis. On May 1st 1907 it became a town with a population of 512 people when it annexed much of rural Hennepin County including East River Township (now West Side Neighborhood). The economic development during this time center around agriculture which continues to be an important industry today despite competition from other sectors such as technology and professional services businesses growth has come primarily due to ranching and farming products being exported to countries such as Canada and Mexico

The town built its own steam engine to haul water from a well to the residents. In 1912, Savage had its first hospital and also started selling health food products. In 1916, the community formed the Savage Agricultural Society to provide seed for local farmers and to market their produce. In 1922, the Town Councilestablished a public library with $50000 budget that served all of Becker County until it closed in 1976 due to lack of funding). In 1927-1928, Savage constructed two bridges over Big Sioux River which connected them with neighboring towns Roughrider and Hennepin County; these were later destroyed by flooding during the Great Depression but have been reconstructed as Historical Markers at both locations (Roughrider Bridge is now part of I-35W). They also built a dam across Big Sioux River which provided power for their homes and businesses until they were taken down by floodwaters again during World War II; this dam is still standing today but has fallen into disrepair ever since due to constant flooding from nearby bodies of water such as Lake Superior) savage also became known for their annual hog hunt which took place near Perkins Dam on September 11th each year starting in 1908
