Fridley is a small town in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 5,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. Fridley was founded in 1876 as a farming settlement on the west side of the Mississippi River by Norwegian immigrants. The town was named for Ole Fridtjof Nansen, who had helped found Norway's first capital city, Oslo, in 1814. The original settlers were farmers and their families from southern Sweden who came overland through Manitoba and Saskatchewan to settle on land that would become Fridley Township. In 1898, Fridley became a city when it annexed neighboring Maplewood. Fridley has been home to minor league baseball teams since 1912 and its first professional team was the Storhammar Blues of the American Association in 1916 (the same year that Minneapolis-Saint Paul entered Major League Baseball). In 1949, Fridley joined what then was called the Eastern Hockey League; it disbanded two years later due to financial difficulties. From 1951 to 1957, Fridley played for the International Hockey League's Rochester Americans before joining what became known as "The Big Three" leagues: North American Hockey League (NAHL), Western Hockey League (WHL), and International Hockey League (IHL). That season saw one of hockey's most dramatic endings when goaltender Len Dawson scored with just under three minutes left in overtime against the New York Rangers to give Detroit Red Wings their first championship title since 1938—over a period of 38 years! In 1990, after several failed attempts by owner Rick Majerus to bring an NHL expansion team to Fridley throughoughtly failed bids and protests from local politicians opposed thereto—including then-mayor Norm Coleman—Majerus sold his ownership stake in the team to businessman Jim Weisbrod instead. Weisbrod moved his AHL affiliate from Syracuse intoFridleysFormer High School gymnasium starting play on October 11th 1991; however Playtime Sports & Entertainment collapsed less than two months later resulting in refunds for all players and almost $200K worth of assets being seized by creditors including Majerus himself! Ultimately MTS Energy which bought PlaytimeSports &Entertainment went bankrupt during bankruptcy court proceedings leading to full refunding for all players plus additional damages awards totaling nearly $250K+ AgainstJimWeisbrodForfeitureDetailsNowYouSeeWhatIMeantWhen I Said “Get Out Of My Business” On July 15th 2006Maplewood Mayor John Choi announced he would not run for re-election citing health concerns but also announced plans not only rename Fridleys former high school Madison Middle School After him But Also All Other Schools Named After Him Including OurFormerHighSchoolMadisonMiddleSchool

The first English roasters began making small batch coffee in the late 1700s. By 1810, almost everyone in London had access to fresh roasted beans. The development of espresso machines made it possible to make high quality smallbatch coffee at home. In the 1920s, Joe DeAngelo introduced the first espresso machine that could create rich and complex flavors using whole bean beans rather than ground up coffees. Large grocery stores started selling pre-packaged small batch coffees during the 1950s and 1960s. Today, many people continue to enjoy small batch coffee through online retailers or homebrewed recipes

Fridley is located in the Minnesota town of St. Cloud, about 20 miles north of Minneapolis. The population was 5,553 at the 2010 census and 6,067 in 2016. It was founded in 1855 by Danish immigrants, who named it after Frits Andersen Fridtjof Nansen, a governor of Norway who had become a U.S. senator from Minnesota that year. The town became an agricultural center during the 19th century; its first grocery store opened in 1872. Fridley's growth as a small city occurred during the Progressive Era (1912-1920), when it became one of several municipalities to join Minneapolis as a result of mayor David Bensen's efforts to make the city more attractive to businesses and residents. In 1916, Fridley's first professional football team played its first game against Hennepin County rivals Brooklyn Park at Maple Leaf Stadium; they lost 24-3. In 1918, Fridley joined the newly formed American Professional Football League (APFL). The next year saw them win their only APFL championship with a 14-7 victory over Decatur Staleys; this event is also considered to be their inaugural season as an NFL team. They were not invited to join any subsequent leagues but continued playing intermittently until 1960 when they disbanded due to financial difficulties. After disbanding, Fridley experienced decline for some time before experiencing another resurgence in recent years thanks largely to new development along Griggs Road which has led to increased employment opportunities for locals and tourists alike since 2004 nearby Dinkytown Mall opened up on what used formerly been farmland just east of townhall squareonduring periodic flooding events that have impacted both property values and tourism attendance throughout much of 2006 through 2018
