The first contingent of soldiers arrive inMinnesota on July 15th 1861 with troops under Colonel John Fetterman arriving on August 3rd 1861 disembarking at Mankato and heading north towards Red Wing where they burned buildings to prevent civilian identification before proceeding east over Asota Creek Bridge intoMN In 1864 statehood is granted to Minnesota which leads to an increase in National Guard donations by residents eager for support while Governor Seward calls for troops due to outbreaks of white supremacist violence across the Midwest In 1875 local militia banded together with help from St Paul Sheriff Isaac Nitschke against a group known as "The Sioux". This led to two days of skirmishing and three killed including Nitschke himself before elements from both sides broke up recognize each other On February 11th 1896 State Constitutional Convention votes 7-2 (with one abstention) giving citizens power over state militias effective March 4th In 1898 Second Battle Of Bull Run begins resulting in two casualties among American forces opposed by 5200 Native Americans estimated at 7000 combatants along with 33 dead Missourians supporting Confederate cause

Eden Prairie is a small town in the U.S. state of Minnesota, located on the border of Dakota and Minnesota counties. The population was 1,826 at the 2010 census. Eden Prairie is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The town began as a Dakota Sioux reservation in 1881 and became a city in 1907 after it was annexed by Minneapolis. The city's namesake was John Lillibridge, who had been instrumental in helping to create the town site and who donated land for it. The first store opened in 1909 and Eden Prairie became one of Minneapolis' most vibrant cities during its early years. However, during World War II the city saw an influx of Japanese Americans because they were needed to work at munitions factories across the Twin Cities region; this led to tension between Japanese Americans and theirimilation into American society which lasted until after World War II when Japan itself collapsed under economic pressure from international competition and United States military occupation. Eden Prairie experienced rapid growth following its incorporation into Minneapolis as a municipality; during its first decade alone, Eden Prairie's population tripled while median household income increased more than fivefold (to $52,800). In 1954, Eden Prairie became one of only two municipalities statewide to pass a resolution opposing segregated schools within their borders – shortly afterwards it adopted a ordinance prohibiting public transportation discrimination on the basis of race or national origin (the other being Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania). This example of community activism helped set an example for later towns throughout Minnesota which followed suit by enacting similar measures against bus transport racism throughout much of their local communities during the 1960s onwards (see also " Racism in America: A Timeline" ). However, despite these advances towards racial integration all over Minnesota over this period there remained pockets where various forms of discrimination still persisted including housing segregation which continued even after Eden Prairie passed zoning ordinances barring such practices; African American residents kept many businesses closed that didn't participate in white business activities such as grocery stores or dry cleaners while Korean Americans Small Business Owners Association member Kim De Jong ran several successful restaurants including KFC until her shop burned down in 1978; gays & lesbians attracted attention from straight customers through demonstrations outside popular Nightclub Gremlin - typical behavior at these venues prior to overtly political correctness becoming normative decades later Finally, with suburban migration increasing access to jobs outside urban cores through Interstate 35W largesse beginning around 1970s aerial surveys revealed severe shortage/absurdly high demand for skilled labor among rural Minnesotans so out-migration increasingly eroded traditional job base – see "Dowdingization: A Historical Overview" . By 2007 only about 50%of employed people lived within 5 miles driving distance according to US Census data compared with 85% 20 years earlier[2] . In response new downtown development has emerged along Light Street with recent projects like Midtown Crossing mall redevelopment attracting major companies like Apple Inc., Starbucks Coffee Companyand Target Corporation since opening nearby

Eden Prairie is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 31,853 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Ramsey County. Eden Prairie was founded by Danish immigrants in 1854 and named after the Eden River near Copenhagen. The city was incorporated on April 14, 1876. The first mayor was Jens Christensen and the first council member were Nils Sørensen and Peder Olsen. In 1902, Eden Prairie became a charter town and had its own police department until it merged with Ramsey County on January 1, 1907. From 1903 to 1941, Eden Prairie employed over 100 people as bankers, merchants and factory workers. In 1941-1945 the city was part of World War II concentration camp for Japanese Americans called "Makin' Camp". In 1957-1960 City Council voted not to annex any other towns within Ramsey County due to concerns about creating too much competition from neighboring towns which already had large populations without equal services or infrastructure like sewers or water systems. Aftermath of this decision led to high rates of crime in adjacent communities such as Stroudsburg which experienced an increase in burglaries and robberies that went unchecked by police because they could only investigate crimes reported to them by residents who wanted their community considered safe for their children during school hours (a practice still ongoing today). On November 3, 1998 City Council passed an ordinance establishing a neighborhood watch program which began operation on December 1st 1998 through citizens groups working together with the Police Department's information unit dubbed "Eden Watch" A total of 24 individuals have been arrested while participating in this program thus far including 6 officers assigned full-time to enforce Neighborhood Watch Citations under state law)
