The PUC program grew out ofOperation Neptune’s Spear which saw Commodore James Sullenberger land his Boeing 727 skydiving onto USS Enterprise while it was still under attack off Lebanon; saving most of her crew including Captain Steven Hackett who drowned when emergency supplies ran out on board ship just prior to landing!
